Opened up for the lovely @flatmoonband and we went ahead and sold out @northernquarter_huddersfield ! Not bad for our second ever show as Saint Roy 😎

It always seems awkward or cringe to practice these sort of things, but the crowd really does dictate how the evening goes! The music speaks for itself am I righttt

Do go ahead and recommend us for support slots/venues that need this 🕺

Check out our shtuff 😁

Snippet of our upcoming single - ‘Drift’! Pioneering a new format of recoding myself with one hand and drumming on the other 🥁 might play it at next gig?

Speaking of - grab your tickets for our 13th Feb gig at @northernquarter_huddersfield opening up for the funkalicious @flatmoonband (sorry for constantly tagging you guys)

Happy Friday! Here’s a cover of ‘Men’s Needs’ by @thecribs . Drumming is one thing but hitting them high notes is another 😳 I was blessed enough to assist them in @eiger_studios that one time with Dom and Gordon - super friendly lads (the band I meant hehe) and the drummer gave me so much advice!

I love how simple the drums are and it’s so addictive! It only took me about 12 takes to not mess up…

We’ve got a gig coming up on Friday Feb 13th @northernquarter_huddersfield supporting the funkiest @flatmoonband 🕺 I might take cover requests on my future videos if you ask nicely… anyways enjoy!

Yep you read it right - a mashup of @chappellroan ‘s ‘HOT TO GO’ and @thestrokes ‘ ‘Reptilia’. Genius, right?

I was practicing at @eiger_studios and I just had to try it out.

We’ve also got a gig on Friday 13th February opening up for the funky famous @flatmoonband at @northernquarter_huddersfield 🕺

We probs won’t cover this coz it doesn’t fit the theme… or will we 🤔

Yes I did do stand-up in the middle of our first ever gig… because our last song had drums in the backing track 🤪

Dad-joke aside, our band had the privilege of playing our four already-released tracks + a Gorillaz cover to an audience that hadn’t heard of us before, and they were awesome. Hoping to recreate this feeling again soon!

If you’re new to the page, you know what to do!

Covering @gorillaz ‘s classic Feel Good Inc. on our debut gig!

We think we had a few heads turn as soon as they heard the iconic intro (I definitely didn’t mess up the laugh part…)

First live show ✅

We’ve been a band for 2 years, and after our fellow saint Paddy moved to LDN to set up his own studio (he’s still in the band dw folks!), Tudor stepped in and started practicing our released songs live with us, and officially became a part of Saint Roy Live!

We want to thank every single one of you who came and supported our first ever live show! For more to come…

Special thanks to:

- @northernquarter_huddersfield for letting local talent play at such an artistic and quirky venue

- @techcast.events and the Techcast team for putting such an amazing evening on, and letting us support @impasse__band and play alongside @isolation_officialband 🔥

- @oz.optics for taking these awesome snaps! 📸

- Fellow Saint @jimbooo.wav for quality filming and DJing that evening (he makes music too!)

- Live Saint @tu______dor for the filthy basslines live and for all those gruelling hours practicing in our in-ear monitors

- co-Saint @paddyspencelewis for being the genius behind these songs

- Mixer Saint @kornelijusr for making sure our stems sounded crisp and for mixing/mastering our tracks

- Manager Saint @markwendlaudio for running the faders that evening making sure we sound mega live! And for believing in the project since day 1.

- @michae1_hodges for getting involved in our early day practices with his piano/synths!

- and Wife Saint + mother and father-in-law, and everyone else who’s been following the band for a while for supporting and coming down

❤️

Wide taste in music? We got you!

Showcasing 1 out of 4 releases to promote our debut gig on 15th October!

This was our first ever release and combining our love for neo-soul, rap and alt-pop; a couple years of procrastination later, this track was born!

Follow to check out the rest of our tracks!
