- Ludwig II idolized Louis the XIV the Sun King and, as such there are no portraits of Ludwig as it the palace is dedicated to Louis
- It was built in the style of Versailles from 100 years before, and is only although it is 1/40 of its size. The bedroom, known as the hall of mirrors is built as a copy of Louis room
- Ludwig II preferred to be alone, as such there was only a small staff of 10-15 servants and no guest rooms.
- Since servants only were allowed on the first floor, the kings dining table could be moved up and down between floors (the flowers are all porcelain)
- Furthermore, all of the kings books, paper and clothes were hidden away behind secret doors to maintain the synchronized beauty of a French Palace taken in Linderhof Castle (Schloss Linderhof) by @_highmare_
