100-mile race! @olmstead10 and @crushinwithcoups , two guys from @_hiruns , had been preparing for this race since January 1st. About two weeks ago, they noticed the weather forecast and were expecting it to change… but it never did. I was there somewhere around miles 70–90, and the weather was HARD. Nonstop rain. But they embraced everything: the pain, the time, the weather, all of it. Just two amazing guys. It was so nice meeting their pacers along the way, too. I feel super happy for both of them! Time to embrace the JOY! . . . . #javelinajundred #ultra #pinkfloyd #running by @_hiruns
@_hiruns Thursdays • 6PM 📍Town Lake Marina Boat Launch You can smoke or not smoke, no one cares. All that matters is getting those miles in—and personally, watching the sunset! It’s not like other clubs where you show up and no one talks to you. Here, you’ll always be greeted, and there’s always someone to talk to. . . . . . . . #arizona #badbunny #tempe #temperunclub #hihikes by @_hiruns
@_hiruns Thursdays • 6PM Abierto si hablas español! Last week, almost everyone ran a half marathon! Even the newcomers are running longer distances. Everyone is getting better, and it’s amazing to see! Some people are using Thursdays as long-run days, starting earlier and doing multiple laps. Some are learning about speed by running with the fastest ones, while others are learning about nutrition from the more experienced runners. Let me tell you about @jesusbrbn_ . Four weeks ago, he showed up just to walk. During the second week, I stayed with him, and he completed a 3-mile loop without stopping! By the third and fourth weeks, he was running 6 miles without stopping! THAT’S REAL PROGRESS! Two weeks ago, I also helped @ani8banani , and she completed a half marathon! The longest distance she had ever run before that was maybe 3 miles, according to her. Now, I need to beat @cho_pan07 in speed! Everyone is welcome to join us. If you don’t feel confident yet, just text me. Maybe I can walk or run the first lap with you! Don’t be ashamed of where you’re starting. We understand what it feels like to be a beginner. It doesn’t matter where you come from; what matters is where you’re going. I feel incredibly inspired by everyone. There’s no competition between us; we’re all growing together, pushing each other, and building a stronger community. Let’s keep showing up, getting better, and sharing the miles! . . . #tempe #runningclub #running #arizona by @_hiruns
Asked the guys why they keep showing up to High Runs. This Saturday, they’re taking on 100 MILES. Y’all already know we’re pulling up. 😤🏁 Run club Thursday, per usual. Saturday, we’re on pacing duty at Javelina 100. Sharing miles all week, then helping our people through the biggest ones. They show up for the crew. We show up for them. Let’s bring the guys home. 🤝🏽 HIGH RUNS. END THE STIGMA. by @_hiruns
THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER RUN IT📌 Y’all helped build this movement. Now you can wear the mission. End the stigma, wherever you go. Swipe through the collection, pick your fit, and tag us when you put it on. Let’s get this everywhere. 🤝🏽 Wear the mission. We’ve all been showing up consistently every Thursday, each with different goals and paces. But then @perske came up with the idea of running a half marathon, and everyone was down for it! Totally optional, of course. We run 3-mile loops!! It was amazing to see how different paces came together, how we got to spend more time with each other, and how beautiful the whole experience was. In my case, I got to pace @ani8banani , who wasn’t entirely sure what the longest distance she had ever run was, but SHE DID IT!!! She trusted me, and I trusted her!! It was so cool to see how we ran each loop with different people, sharing food, drinks, conversations, and good vibes along the way. This is what running clubs are all about! Everyone is welcome at the @_hiruns Running Club! 📍 Town Lake Marina Boat, Tempe 😮Every Thursday 🕕 Meet at 6:00 PM 🏃‍♂️ We start running at 6:30 PM All paces welcome. Come as you are, and let’s get some miles in together! by @_hiruns
