Unpopular opinion: Too many artists are chasing signatures instead of ownership

I’m not saying every record deal is bad. I’m asking why so many artists have made getting signed the finish line instead of learning the business, building leverage, and understanding what they’re signing.

The goal shouldn’t be getting signed. The goal should be building something valuable enough that every deal becomes a choice, not a necessity💯

Build leverage twin, get a lawyer n read your contracts, know your worth.
