Some days, it’s hard to get out and train. Being a dad, being in school, work, Masonic obligations, being a friend… life gets busy. But sometimes, you just have to get it done.

Recently, I stepped away from full-time work to focus on school and my mental health. And first, I thank God for His provision—because I know not everyone gets that opportunity.

Taking care of yourself can be hard when you’re used to taking care of everyone else. But since losing my little brother in 2024, I’ve learned to value self-care differently.

Matthew 6:26 reminds me: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
