She needed a warm hug.
She needed a soft touch.
So she embraced herself.

Breakups happen.
Editing love out
like it was just merely
a typo is the
aching breaking part.

The most uncomfortable phase of healing is realizing I wasn't just carrying wounds. I was carrying the knife too.

I pushed people away before they had the chance to stay.

Everyone talks about moving forward like it means flooring the gas pedal and never looking back. But sometimes moving forward means pulling over. It means checking the oil. Inspecting the tires. Making repairs.
Because without maintenance, even the strongest vehicle eventually breaks down and no one gets very far pretending everything is fine.

Neglect isn’t progress.
It’s just damage happening quietly.
The same goes for people.

You can’t outrun heartbreak.
You have to maintain yourself.
Repair yourself.
Understand yourself.
Otherwise you’ll break down
miles from where you thought
you were going.

It was a good car. It was a good job.
It was a good decision. They were a good person.
It was a good connection.
But good experiences can still cause pain. That’s a hard chapter to understand.

But what’s meant to be
always has a way of finding its way back into the story.

And if it doesn’t?

Surviving Savannah is not just a photo.
It is my healing in motion.
It is hope painted in my favorite color, purple.

It is what it looks like to pull yourself out of darkness with trembling hands and still choose light. It is surrounding myself with what empowers me, writing life into myself, affirming what I deserve, and becoming the woman I fought to save.

It is proof that my jagged edges do not make me unworthy. They make me real. And I am still worthy of love, joy, peace, and everything my soul dares to ask for.

This era is RELEASING what no longer serves me while RECEIVING what was always meant for me.
