V&V: Decorex After Hours💜

Jozi-based DJ and anti-disciplinary creative @_idahum exists in the spaces between
sound, feeling, and experimentation. Weaving together eclectic sonic worlds, her selections move fluidly between nostalgia and what’s still to come, creating moments that feel both familiar and unexpected.

Formerly and sometimes occasionally known as Thanda Man Jones. @ordinarythanda is a practitioner of the immediate arts, sound enthusiastic and an overall lover of good times.

Together they form the DJ Duo Maguduzumela.

Based in Johannesburg, IDAHUM is a sonic vessel shaped by memory, movement, and communal listening.
Early into the journey - and nurtured within the loving home of the Pussy Party collective - her practice centres the dancefloor as a site of gathering, release, and remembrance. She has shared space with fellow DJs at Fête de la Musique, Pantone Sundays, and featured on Oroko Radio’s Thugsgiving (S2), marking an early but intentional imprint on the city’s soundscape.
Her sound is a map of memory, beginning with Bhut’ Nhlanhla — a primary school transport driver and unsung maestro - whose speakers baptized school pick-ups and drop-offs in a pulse that still beats through every set.
Today, IDAHUM digs deeper, blending nostalgic motion.
From the hypnotic swing of Bacardi to the raw charge of Kuduro and Baile Funk; from House to Reggae Dub, and the shimmering echoes of South and Western African beats.
Each mix is an offering - a vibration, a love letter to Black, Queer sound lineages and the memories made on the dancefloor. by @_idahum
