I use to carry a kodak digicam with me when I was younger. It would come with me almost everywhere and I would point it at whatever interested my eyes at the time. After that swiftness that encompasses childhood took my intrigue from one place to another, I found myself looking for an outlet that accomplished the similar feeling; I want you to see what I see.

Many years later I found myself wanting a camera again and in June I finally bought one on a whim, and can say fully that it has driven a lot of excitement. There are so many places to see, people to meet, and concepts to grasp. It makes me appreciate the stillness that each moment carries, and how photos withhold the sentimentality of them. And i’m overjoyed with the fact that this old interest has come back to me in the way that it has.

I’m grateful for all of those who let me take pictures of them despite me being really new at it. If anyone wants to take pictures etc just shoot me a DM! Especially now that I am currently semi-free from the clutches of academia 🤝🏾
