Finished my 4 year sentence 🎓…

Yesterday, I officially earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the amazing Rust College — and I’m still taking it all in! When I first came to Rust, everything felt so new and unfamiliar. As many of you know… I’m a City Girl, so being in a small-town college was a big adjustment. Over time Rust became more than just a school — it became a place where I grew, learned, and found my purpose.

To my family — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have been my biggest supporters from day one. Every phone call, every prayer, every word of encouragement, every moment you reminded me to keep going — it mattered more than you know. When I felt overwhelmed, you reminded me of my strength. When I wanted to give up, you reminded me of my purpose. You sacrificed so much to see me succeed, and this degree belongs to all of us. I hope I’ve made you proud, because everything I’ve accomplished is a reflection of the love and support you’ve poured into me over the years. I love y’all deeply.

To my friends — I appreciate y’all more than you know. From late-night studying to laughing until we cried, from deep talks to just being there when I needed someone — thank you. You made college feel like home, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories we made and the bond we share.

To Rust College — thank you for helping shape me into the woman I am today. I’ve grown in ways I never expected, and I leave this campus with more confidence, knowledge, and strength than I came with.

This degree means more than just finishing school — it’s proof of my hard work, determination, and faith. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for what’s next. I’m stepping into this new chapter as a proud graduate, ready to help others and make a difference in the world through social work.
