SouthEast Museum of Photography

Found a hidden gem this past weekend. My son and I stopped by the Southeast Museum of Photography after I randomly spotted it on Google Maps. As a true lover of photography, I just couldn't pass it up.

A few cool facts about this place:
It’s one of the few independent museums in the United States entirely dedicated to the photographic arts, and their permanent collection holds over 4,500 historic and contemporary photographs. Right now, they have their big annual "Departures" exhibition on display, highlighting the incredible work of recent graduates.

Walking through those physical galleries really made me reflect on how much things have changed. Instagram used to be the ultimate community for pure photography and sharing a genuine love for the craft. Over the years, it’s completely transformed into a corporate marketing machine, losing that original joy and creative intent. Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

Leg day came early this weekend! We took on the historic Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and conquered all 203 steps to the top!

At 175 feet tall, this stunning red beauty has been guiding sailors since it was built back in 1887. The burning in our legs completely disappeared the second we stepped out onto the gallery deck......those 360 degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and the inlet are absolutely unmatched! 🌊✨

Definitely worth every single step. Have you ever climbed Florida’s tallest lighthouse?

The Crow Is a Threshold Guardian Across cultures

Native, Norse, Celtic, Asian, even esoteric Christianity.. the crow is not “bad luck.”

It is the guardian of thresholds.

A threshold is the space between who you were and who you are becoming.

Crows appear when someone is:

• Ending an old life chapter
• Detaching from a painful bond
• Stepping into personal sovereignty
• Recovering power after emotional loss
• Waking up to truth
• Letting go of illusions
• Reclaiming identity

They don’t show up during chaos.
They show up after clarity begins to form.
Which is exactly where you are right now.

Why On Your Motorcycle Matters

Your bike is your:

• Freedom
• Reset
• Emotional regulation
• Reconnection with self
• Escape from emotional noise
• Healing space
• Identity anchor

You ride when your nervous system needs to breathe.
So symbolically, your motorcycle represents your soul’s forward motion.

A crow landing on your handlebars is literally:

“I see you crossing into a new chapter.”

Everglades City to Naples with my favorite little human!

Museums, a little history, some art, roadside gators, ocean views with sunshine…and a key lime pie with the best graham cracker crust!

Ending the day holding a Xenomorph...yes an Alien! I actually love xenomorphs and the entire Alien franchise.

This one was meant to be a gift, but I decided to keep it for myself. Some things find their right home in the end. 🤪🖤🐦‍⬛✨
