RAP RIOT for RIS9 ❤️‍🔥
What an honor & a privilege to create visuals for @dollyvvs @ladelemaestro @sara.ath & Penny. Their art, poetry & music is a volcanic eruption of radical care, fem rage, queer joy & it is truly political.
It was moving & and it was hot ❤️‍🔥

To conjure volcanic blooms, 11’ x 17’, 2025
I dreamt of a fumaroles beast, 11’ x 17’ 2025
Volcanic spores flourishing, 11’ x 17’ 2025

The three watercolor paintings explore volcanic ecologies through the lens of nature’s queer performativity. An evocation of eruption, magma, heat, ash; desert and fertility; iridescence, toxicity, time warps, and beyond-human reformulation. Each piece conjures a semi-dreamlike state—a fusion of my dreams and volcanic research—drawing from volcanic flora and sulphuric myths.

Last slide: The three volcanologists of my ♥️ @karenholmberg @allypeccia @samtram_ in front of my volcanic beasts at the exhibition ‘ReComposition: Art & Science for Earth’ at the Church of Heavenly Rest in New York City, curated by Constance Beavon. The exhibition is on till 31/8/2025

May 2024. Documentation from my performance at the Stavros Niarchos Garden @snfcc

This performance delves into the themes of fluidity and liquidity in nature, femme sexual desire, examining and conjuring the queerness of water and the multitude identities it evokes.
A 10’ lip sync performance to an original soundtrack made with sound artist @dimitris_kalamaras and with the voice of @katerina_vatopoulou 🦪💦🐚
Handmade costumes with the help of @andrew.stephens.trumpet 🐚
