Before the night ends, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who reached out and wished my big baby a Happy Birthday! 🫶🏽🥹❤️

7 years down and a lifetime to go, son. 🥹 Mommy loves you more than words could ever explain, and I am SO proud of the young man you are becoming. Because of you, I laugh every day. I cry when you reach a new milestone. I celebrate every little accomplishment, and I pray every single day that God continues to guide you, protect you, and allow you to grow into the amazing man you’re meant to be. 🙏🏽❤️

Being your mommy is one of the greatest blessings of my life. Watching you grow from my little baby into this smart, funny, loving, handsome 7-year-old has been such a beautiful journey. 🥹🥰 I hope you always know just how loved you are and how much Mommy will always be in your corner.

About a month ago, one of my cheerleaders from Lane asked me if I could make her probate staff. I was a little hesitant at first because I’ve never done anything like that before. She kept saying, “You’re creative, you like putting stuff together,” 😂 and I thought… you know what, she’s right. Why not?

So we started planning when to get everything. Then she told me her LS needed one too since she was the VP. I said, “Aww, tell her I’ll do hers too.” So now not only have I never done this before… I’m making two 🙆🏽‍♀️

Fast forward a few weeks, and we finally had everything we needed. Amazon boxes were arriving, and I was so excited 😆

Thursday, April 2nd, I started unboxing everything and prepping for the project. I even planned to record every step along the way.

Then Friday, April 3rd… everything changed.

I was in the garage painting letters when my mom came outside shaking, with a look in her eyes I’ll never forget. I kept asking what happened, but she couldn’t get the words out at first. When she finally told me about my brother… I just froze. I got up and went inside.

This project had to be finished by Saturday, April 10th. After hearing that news, the days felt like they moved in slow motion—but like people say, time waits on no one. I had made a promise to these girls, so I knew I had to finish.

But now, it meant more.

I poured myself into those staffs with a different kind of purpose. I’d sit in the garage, cry for a few minutes, wipe my eyes, and get back to work. This project came with sweat… and real tears.

And somehow, through it all, it became a part of my healing.

It took me a week to do both staffs. I was still going to work, coming home being a mom & hosted an open gym. But the outcome was worth it.
