High school shaped me. College refined me. But the Gator in me has always stayed 🐊

With deep gratitude, I want to thank the University of Florida and the College of Nursing for shaping me into the nurse and person I am becoming. I know I’ve been changed…🪞💕✨
On November 3, 2024, I became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. That day marked a transformation in me. Through this sisterhood, I’ve learned strength, perseverance, and purpose beyond myself. I’ve grown in sisterhood, scholarship, and service, understanding that legacy is not just inherited, but lived daily.

To my ILlustrious Prophytes, Thank you for shaping our chapter into a legacy of excellence, strength, and unwavering sisterhood. Your vision, sacrifice, and dedication made my path possible. Thank you for making a dream of mine come true. I’m grateful for your trust and for setting a standard that inspires me daily.

To the Seventeens and TaIΛs, Each of you saw value in me before I even saw it in myself. You are all strong, ambitious women I aspire to be like, and I’m grateful for your example. You taught me to hold my own and carry the weight of those I care about with strength and grace. Most importantly, you showed me the meaning of sisterhood and how to show up with love, peace, and constant support. I’ll carry what you’ve poured into me forward.

To Harmonies of Lyra, We entered this sisterhood together and continue to grow together forever. Through every laugh, tear, and late night, our bond has only strengthened. You are 16 of the reasons I love AKA, each reflecting the beauty of this sisterhood.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, I will be graduating from the University of Florida with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The UF College of Nursing is ranked number 1 in Florida, number 40 nationally, and number 23 among public universities for BSN programs in 2026, making this accomplishment even more meaningful.

First and foremost, I thank God for carrying me through every step of this journey. His word has been my foundation, and prayer has been my strength in moments of doubt, exhaustion, and growth.

I am also incredibly grateful for my mother, father, and grandmother. I also carry the memory of my grandparents who are no longer here to witness this accomplishment, but whose love, guidance, and prayers continue to live on in everything I do. Your love, sacrifices, encouragement, and constant belief in me have been my greatest support system. I would not be here without your strength behind me every step of the way.

And finally, as I reflect on the support that carried me through this journey, last but not least, Kashmere Blu, who has been my steady source of support throughout every exam, assignments, clinical rotations, and everyday life. Coming home to you waiting for me brought comfort, peace, and balance during some of my most stressful moments.
