Steward.
It comes from the Greek word oikonomos, which means ‘household manager.’ During the time the New Testament was written, this was the servant in a large household who was entrusted to run the estate and oversee affairs for the betterment and name of the owner; not for himself. This is the word I use to sum up the work the Lord has done in me this summer. Showing me the gifts I have, the impact I can make, and the dynamite power within me is not my own and not to bring glory to my name, but it is ALL His in order to bring glory to His name.

Thank you Father for humbling me to what I really am, a broken sinner in need of Jesus. Thank you for the everyday opportunity to choose to lean on your Spirit so I can live with supernatural faith and purpose, and be obedient to what you have called me to live. Remind me that all in this life will fade away, and all that my flesh wants to achieve will go away like fog; but the glory that will be brought upon Your name will stand strong and be echoed for all eternity. Continue to empower me to strive vigorously to bring glory to Your name and to contend for the faith. My life is completely surrendered to you; mold me and make me Father to be your vessel.

I thought my purpose was to be a pro bodybuilder, to be a fitness influencer, to own a successful business. All these dreams were centered around what I wanted, what the world wants me to do. Although those things aren’t necessarily bad platforms to be a part of they were all a part of my selfish ambition to be better than everyone else. The truth is my dreams were all centered around me; how I could be rich, how I could have fame, how I could be better than everyone else. Looking back I see those as broken dreams, and it was a hard pill to swallow when I had to lay them all at Jesus’ feet. As followers of Christ, we may have different platforms but our true purpose is spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by being stewards of the faith, and I can genuinely say that is my ambition. by @_jackaydelott

I’ve had many people ask me what was going through my mind in the first pic, assuming it was stuff like “I’m ready for this to be over” or “I’m so hungry” and even “I just want a cookie” 😂 but to tell the truth it was all emotions of gratitude and pride. I was going through all the times in my mind I wanted to quit, all the times I doubted myself, all the times I wanted to binge. This allowed me to be so grateful for the support I had from so many people and having pride in knowing that I was able to push through and had the discipline and dedication to make it to show day.

I told myself, “regardless of the results, you have already won and you should be proud.” That set the tone for the rest of the day! I was the first person to step on stage (being the only teenager at the show) and having that mindset made it so much more fun and exciting, especially when the room exploded whenever I stepped on stage. I was able to enjoy every moment: eating my first hamburger in forever, having my dad backstage to help me, especially meeting the most supportive and kind people ever backstage.

Even though I did not place the way I intended to, this weekend was a win, a win I will never forget. Now it’s time to get back to work and win the next one! by @_jackaydelott
