I don’t even know how to put this pain into words. 💔 Yesterday, I lost more than a friend… I lost my sister.

Ashley was one of the sweetest, most beautiful souls I’ve ever known. So much fun, so full of life, and the kind of person whose presence just made things brighter. She loved deeply, but nothing compared to the love she had for her son. That was her heart. Everything she did, every fight she fought, she fought with him in her heart.

And fight she did. She fought long. She fought hard. She fought with a strength that I will forever admire. I prayed so hard for a different ending, and my heart is completely broken that this is where our story on this side had to end.

We talked every single day. If we weren’t on the phone, we were sending each other memes on IG, laughing about something, checking on each other, or just doing life together. It’s those little everyday moments that are hurting the most right now. I keep thinking about reaching for my phone to call you or send you something, and then remembering you’re not there. 💔

I already miss you more than I can explain, Ash. I miss your voice. I miss your laugh. I miss our conversations. I miss you. I would give anything for one more phone call, one more laugh, one more “girl…” 😭

Thank you for being my friend, my sister, and such a beautiful part of my life. Loving you was easy, and missing you is going to be one of the hardest things I’ll ever have to do.

Rest peacefully, my girl. No more fighting. No more pain. 🕊️🤍
