Just sitting here writing my vows and thinking about how I can’t wait to love on this man for the rest of my life. 😭😭😭

The way I just had the time of my whole life?! My friends, my friends, my friends.

One thing about me and Avery, we are super non-traditional when it comes to our wedding planning, which includes not having a bridal party. (We can talk about that later but we had our reasons lol) So with that, of course a traditional bachelorette trip was out of the question for me. We’re getting married in another country, and I didn’t want to pressure anyone into doing anything other than the wedding.

And then comes @nataajah_i. I kid you not, she called me at least 65 times and told me she was forcing me to have a Bach weekend. And I promise, it was the 66th time where I finally gave in. (Honestly, even if I wouldn’t have, these girls would’ve still pulled up.) And I’m so thankful to God to have people in my life who see me, when I try so desperately hard not to see myself. I didn’t do anything, but show up. They had the Moomoo, the plans, the people, the food. 🥹😭

Each one of these girls has carried me through a different season. Whether that be navigating our childhoods, trying to figure out high school, wondering why certain situationships didn’t work out in college, learning to pray together when it seemed like we were losing everything, learning to support each other through our accomplishments, entering motherhood together, and the list goes on.

We all need good friends. (And it’s a super plus when you can bring them around each other and everyboddddyyyy can just be cool lol) But good friends also deserve for us to be good to them, and please don’t forget that part. And of course all of mine aren’t pictured here, but I thank God for people who just get me, and allow me to be unapologetically me. And as I enter this season of marriage, I’m reminded daily how blessed I am to have people who won’t stop encouraging us, praying for our union, and loving our family. I say all this to say, pour into people who pour into you. Water each other well, and you will both bloom beautifully.

All I can say is thank you God. Thank you for preparing me for my soul mate. Thank you for allowing me to trust you in the season of waiting. Thank you for every heartbreak. Thank you for every disappointment. Thank you for every no. Thank you for making this my yes.

Tears come to my eyes when I think about how loved you make me feel. Thank you for your patience, your grace, your courage. I love you more than words can say.
