Shot on the Sony Alpha 7IV, one of many moments from my travels around the world, capturing humans and the stories their movement tells.

Last year while in Egypt, I met Jade, a contemporary dancer from Paris at a beach camp on the Red Sea. I asked her to share her movement with me, and this video is what we created together.

Movement is one of the most powerful things we have, it connects the body, frees the mind, and rewires the brain in ways words never could.

We all have a movement, do you know yours?

Meet Jade Gregoire - Paris, France 🇫🇷

I crossed paths with Jade while traveling through Egypt in 2024. We were at the same camp on the Red Sea.

As we shared stories, I discovered that Jade is a professional contemporary dancer. Intrigued by her art, I asked if I could capture her movement on film. Together, we ventured into the desert at golden hour, where the sunset became the stage for her graceful expression.

Que pouvai-je faire?
Un corps, l'envie puissante de danser, 4 mois de pause dans les pieds, du sable et de la roche fossilisée, ou bien de l'eau salée.
Plateau rocailleux
Vent léger
Soleil rasant
La mer en face
Pourquoi je bouge?
Pourquoi je pleure?
C'est là, ça ne part pas, ça chauffe , ça gargouille, ça grouille.
Peut-être que ça ne partira jamais finalement.
