How Transformers One should’ve started! This is my first attempt at replacing the backgrounds in my toy photography, in an attempt to recreate the opening scene of the first episode of Transformers G1! I finally, finally found some Blokees blind box Transformers figures! And the Transformers One wave no less! I got two packs, and managed to get both Bumblebee and Wheeljack! While it would've been cool to get Sentinel Prime or D-16 with the Megatronus scar on his chest, or the fancy rare Optimus Prime, I'm super excited that I got Bumblebee since I'm a little obsessed with him and have been since I got my first retro G1 toy Bumblebee keychain back before the first Bayverse film ever came to theaters, and getting him with Wheeljack is perfect because I still didn't have any iteration of Wheeljack in my collection yet he and Bumblebee are the first characters we ever see appear in the original G1 pilot episode, so it's really cool to have these two characters in the Blokees Transformers One style! Enjoy this speedbuild of my first ever Blokees figure, and hopefully not my last! I put some things together a little out of order, and had a little trouble finding a piece or two, but overall the building experience was very easy and enjoyable, and the final product is so awesome! They're each about the same height as Netflix Bumblebee and they're proportions aren't so far off from their animation models either, so they're absolutely worth $5-6 compared to Hasbro's $25.99 figures, even if those Transform. I think this guy might actually scale pretty well with the Studio Series TF1 Cogged Bumblebee, so I'm really glad to have a figure of Uncogged Badassatron now too!

Hi! I’m Jaebii, a recently-graduated Animation and Cinematic Arts Student, and this is my #whyiprint story! While my family was always interested in getting a 3D-printer to make custom gaming miniatures and tilesets for TTRPGs like D&D, I personally became enthusiastic about 3D-printing when I discovered that designers and creators were able to make printable action figures of characters from cartoons and toy lines that I had been researching for my History of Animation class as an Animation Student, particularly in preparation for my “History of 1980s Cartoons and Toys” video presentation, which can be found on my “Jaebii’s Media Center” YouTube Channel! When I was a kid, I loved collecting Star Wars action figures, and Transformers from the live-action “Bayverse” movies, two collections of mine which are still ongoing to this day, but when I became immersed in the toyetic cartoons of the 1980s through my studies, I was disappointed to find that there weren’t many available action figures of modern quality or affordable price that were truly accurate to these 1980s cartoon character designs. 3D-printing provided a way for me to print out my own toys and action figures of many of these characters, including most of the G1 Transformers, characters from MOTU, TMNT, and many other 1980s cartoons, each at a very low cost compared to official retail figures or reseller prices, and sometimes even completely free minus the price of printer materials! “Where are you going?!” - “𝕋𝕠 𝕝𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕕𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕖𝕤𝕥 𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕣.”

The special theatrical rerelease of The Transformers: The Movie included a really heartfelt tribute to Peter Cullen before the film, and after the credits ended there was an exclusive new animated short film that may or may not take place after Optimus becomes one with the Matrix of Leadership! Optimus Prime: Awakening honestly feels a lot like a follow-up to the Netflix WFC trilogy but with classic G1 character models and voice acting, yet plenty of the epic storytelling proportions of WFC! There was at least one new-ish character design that I’d LOVE to have the opportunity to buy a figure of to commemorate the animated short, and there were lots of references to other branches of the Transformers franchise that made it feel like a true love-letter for every fan! Although, if I’m being honest, I feel like the overall theme and apparent message of the short was a little… counterintuitive? It felt almost sinister and in spite of itself, and after having just finished watching a tribute to Peter Cullen and witnessing the death of Optimus Prime, the short’s ending especially seemed to be in bad taste to me, a sour taste that it definitely left in my mouth long enough for me to wonder whether or not it ruined the rest of the meal overall. Bad analogy, but I feel like the short’s bleak ending was NOT what I would’ve expected (or wanted) from Peter Cullen’s last performance as Optimus Prime, not unless Hasbro plans to elaborate on what just happened a little more clearly in the future… which I doubt. But for what it’s worth, the short was stunning and suspenseful and powerful and made me REALLY want more animated Transformers content, either with a fourth season of WFC or a Transformers One sequel/spinoff series or eventually that Transformers Skybound cartoon they promised us… or, maybe an Optimus Prime: Awakening continuation? Maybe this version of Optimus will become an Alternity “Protector” timeline agent and visit Axiom Nexus and cross over with other Multiversal Optimus variants!

Introducing the “secret menu” Kaioken Lemonade!

(Actually the Burger King I went to didn’t have any of the mango peach lemonade, or the Super Saiyan Sauce for that matter, but they did have the Goku cup and the mango boba so they were able to give me the boba with strawberry lemonade instead!)

And now I have a SSGSS Vegeta to go with my Goku! Yay!
