I’m writing this to the person who supported me the most, who walked me to school every morning, who made cereal towers that i would see from the kitchen window, who watched cartoons with me on Saturday mornings, who would make two different types of sandwiches in case i switched my mind of what i wanted at school , who would let me watch Modern Family with him and at commercial breaks watch me perform , who would teach “Papa’s Summer School” , who would be my nurse everytime i was sick and you logged all my medications & symptoms, who wouldn’t miss one cheer competition or performance, and so much more.
Before any of that I was your granddaughter. And I honor that everyday.
In your last days I’ll never forget sitting together listening to your favorite music.

I’ve watched you live with ALS for the past three years and your strength is what stood out to me, and how you loved/let everyone support you. The best part of this all is you are happy, healthy, and you are able to move every muscle freely again.
The worst part of this I will grieve you longer than I got to be your granddaughter.

Though you are gone doesn’t mean I won’t honor you everyday. Everything I do is to honor you - every accomplishment, every performance , every reward.

The hardest “see you later”.
