Well this job was one for the books! I had the opportunity to capture and tell Bob’s story for @theelderstatesman Cinematography and post production by yours truly 🎥🚁 💻 🎨 💁🏽‍♂️😎 A massive thank you to @bafetus and @kc___productions @katherinecomparomp for calling me up and trusting me with this project. Big ups to @_donl_ for assisting. #rocketman The Elder Statesman ROCKET MAN: Bob grew up in the 1960’s watching rockets blast off to the moon and Wile E. Coyote chasing the Roadrunner with his jet packs on TV. At age 10, Bob began building rocket powered balsa wood airplanes powered with Jetex rocket motors. Between 1980 and 1990, Bob worked as a woodworker and a fine artist. Bob’s life changed forever during a skydiving speed competition in 1991. Bob thought to himself, “I need a jet pack to keep up with the competition”. After endless hours of research & development, and using his artistic background, Bob creates some of the world’s most outrageous jet powered machines. #shotonRED #r3d taken in Outer Space by @_jasonaugustine

In the past year I went out to Utah on two separate occasions to shoot with the Freenote Cloth crew in order to cut together a small piece focusing on their outdoorsmen collection. We linked up with their friend Brian Wimmer (you may know him from the popular television series China Beach or the movie footloose) former Hollywood actor, now retired, and working as fly fishing guide out of Sundance. I’m really proud of this piece. Check it out!
