POSTS STORIES REELS

If we haven’t met properly – hi, I’m Jen.

I’ve been in the dance business world for over 30 years.

I built and sold several successful studios, and now I coach other impact-driven studio owners to do the same – simplify, scale, and grow a business that works for them.

My work is practical, no fluff, and deeply personal. I’ve mentored hundreds of studio owners across Australia and beyond through my mastermind – Dance Studio Scaled, my Dance AI tools, and my real-talk podcast – because I know how hard it can be to do this alone.

These days, I get to work with incredible studio owners who want to grow with purpose, profit, and power – not just survive.

I’m a mum of two, a wife, and an outgoing introvert.

I’m obsessed with strategy, innovation, and making smart decisions that lead to sustainable success.

My work lives at the intersection of creativity and business strategy – helping studio owners lead with confidence and build something they’re proud of.

If you’re running a dance studio and want to build a business that gives you more time, more freedom, and more profit… then you’re in the right place.

Let’s make your business something you’re proud of – and excited to wake up to.

Tell me: What’s one thing you’d love more of in your studio this year?

Five shows. Someone’s bought tickets to the wrong one. A child has packed one shoe. And a parent would like “a quick chat” while you’re managing backstage chaos.

Studio owners, you know the feeling.

You’re excited to see your students perform. You’re also bracing yourself for everything that comes with getting them on stage.

It ok to feel both…

I hope you get a second to take it all in and think, “I helped make this happen.”

Because you did. And you deserve to feel proud, too.

I don’t yet have the words for what went down at the very first Scalable Freedom®️ retreat, but I do know this…

We’ve never needed small group masterminding MORE.

My women had THE most incredible breakthroughs in the room last week, and it was reflected back to me many times over that so many of them had never been in a room before where the other women were so generous, open-hearted, kind and strategic.

There was NO gatekeeping, and the masterminding conversations were off the charts good.

Everyone left with a strategy for what’s to come, and more confidence that they can scale their business to the next high multi 6 or 7 figure goal.

One of the sessions @thevirtualchapter and I took them through was a session on how we’ve systemised our business this year using an approach I’ve called ‘small business, big business thinking.’

Because if I know anything to be true it’s that bottlenecking our business is usually the first problem when we want to grow.

The introvert in an extroverted industry is alive and well…

One of the things I’ve learnt about myself is that I can absolutely love being surrounded by incredible people, having deep conversations and sharing big ideas… but I equally need the quiet time afterwards.

The past couple of days were full of connection, learning and conversations that stretched my thinking.

Today is about slowing down, processing it all and recharging. by @_jendalton_

Beyond proud of our girl Mia Rose for not only graduating, but earning an academic excellence commendation…can’t wait to see what your future holds 💕 by @_jendalton_

It’s not just dance.

It’s...
Self belief
Focus
Growth

What they learn in here shapes who they become out there

🎙️ 200 EPISODES! 🥳

Today marks the release of my 200th episode of the Dance Studio Scaled Podcast!

200 episodes of sharing ideas, lessons, experiences, strategies and conversations about what it really takes to build and grow a successful dance studio.

When I started this podcast, my goal was simple. To share what I’d learnt from my own journey as a studio owner and help others see what’s possible for their businesses.

And 200 episodes later, that hasn’t changed. ❤️

One thing I know for sure is that there’s always another perspective, another lesson and another way to do things better.

To everyone who’s tuned in, shared an episode, sent me a message or taken something you’ve heard and put it into action in your own studio… THANK YOU!

Here’s to 200 episodes, the lessons along the way and plenty more conversations to come.

These are the thoughts nobody says out loud.

The slow drift.
The quiet exhaustion.
The moment you realise you’ve stopped counting the wins and started counting the days until the holidays.

It doesn’t happen suddenly.
It creeps in through years of carrying everything, making every decision, being the person the whole thing depends on.

And from the outside?
The studio looks fine.
Which somehow makes it lonelier.

If this feels familiar - that’s worth paying attention to.

This is exactly the kind of conversation we have inside the mastermind. If you’re ready to have it, send me a DM. by @_jendalton_

The part they never put in the business plan, or the “follow your passion” advice.

The hardest parts of owning a studio have nothing to do with dance. They’re the conversations you didn’t see coming, the decisions that keep you up at night, and the mental load that doesn’t clock off when the last class ends.

Nobody talks about this part. But it’s the part that defines you as a leader. by @_jendalton_

You can love your studio and still want it to feel lighter.

You can be proud of what you’ve built and still crave change.

You can be deeply grateful... and ready for more.

Wanting more doesn’t make you ungrateful it makes you a leader.

Because the version of you who got your studio to this point?

She’s not the one who will take it to the next level...
...And that’s okay.

I honour what you’ve built and help you scale it in a way that supports your life.

You’re allowed to want more.

Let’s make sure you’re building it the smart way...

If you’ve been waiting for the calm, I have some news for you.

It’s not coming…

But you do get better at moving through the chaos - and that’s honestly the real skill no one talks about when you sign up for this.

If you’re in the thick of it right now, you’re not behind. You’re just a studio owner heading into term 4… by @_jendalton_
