If home were a feeling, this would be it (just missing my sons ofc) 🌲 by @_jennywins
Dad, When I visited Notre Dame, I felt this quiet pull to talk to you. The light poured through the stained glass, and even with the crowds and my mixed feelings about Catholicism, everything felt still for a moment. I didn’t plan to sit down in the pews, but something in me needed to. Somehow it felt like you were there. It’s been almost 2 months since you’ve passed, and the grief is still there despite the complex history between us. Traveling has been beautiful, but it also makes me think of you. You never got to see places like this. You left Vietnam and worked hard so your kids could have choices you didn’t. I think about that a lot and try to carry both the gratitude and the weight of it with me. The guilt and grief still sit beside the gratitude and joy, and I’m learning that they can all exist together. Thank you for the pieces of you I carry: the curiosity, the small joys, and the way you taught me to keep an open heart. I’ll honor you by carrying you with me, sharing the world through my eyes and my siblings’, and spending time with you in every place I go. Con thương ba 🤍 by @_jennywins
