On National Girls & Women in Sports Day, I’m thinking about the people who helped shape me. Thank you to the coaches who saw my potential even when I didn’t… Coach Gwenn Pike at Bishop Miege High School and Coach Lucas with KC Power Volleyball. Having people who believe in you matters. Sports taught me to work hard, push through the tough times, and prove to myself what’s possible. Forever grateful for the lessons. 🖤

I wore flat twists all week and took them out on Sunday before I had to report for a game. These are my results. I’ve almost made it a full year of wearing my natural hair out. 🤗

Around the Crown 10K with my bestie! A whole lot of hills, a little suffering 😂, and a finish line earned.

New running shoes for my upcoming race! I purchased the @ASICS GT-2000 15 shoes. They’re very comfortable shoes with good ankle support.

First day of 3rd grade started with me embarrassing my son asking for a pic at school. Can you tell he didn’t want to take a pic with me ? 🤣 taken in Florida by @_jessicaeley

I usually don’t wear my hair in a wash n’ go style. But @primadonnacurlz convinced me to do it this time lol. She flat twisted the front of my hair since I’m always complaining about the length of my bangs. I love it!
