Hi, friends! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m Jackie 📸 I’m a content creator, adventure travel blogger, photographer, and around-the-clock seeker of the best flight deals 🎓 I currently work 9-5 in pharmaceuticals, but I have my Masters degree in Marine Ecology, where I got to work on the coral reefs in the Florida Keys and St. John, USVI 🏔 I grew up around the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York and it’s still one of my favorite places in the world - especially in the fall! ✈️ The travel bug bit me long before I started traveling. I was actually in my 20s when I first traveled anywhere (!) because I grew up thinking that travel was only for people who were rich or retired. Follow our adventure on @_jkrow 🚢 It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally left my cube to take a bet on myself for the adventure of a lifetime with @lindbladexp 🥹 We’ve set off from Ushuaia, Argentina and are spending the next 22 days exploring the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica. When I get home it’ll be jumping into full time content creation to continue building the business that we’ve spent the last 7 years juggling with a 9-5. For the first time in a LONG time, I can’t see what’s coming next, but I’m so excited to see where this journey will take me (and to finally have my weekends back - maybe). Is this one of the most overlooked coastal cities on the East Coast USA? 👀 ✨ Save this for your next East Coast getaway and send it to someone you’d explore Wilmington with Wilmington, North Carolina has a combination that’s PERFECT for a quick weekend trip or longer getaway: a walkable historic downtown, beautiful coastal views, really good food and plenty to do outside. What we loved: 🛍️ Exploring downtown’s historic streets and independent shops, then browsing locally made goods at @downtownilmartists 🛳️ Walking along the Wilmington Riverwalk. The @battleshipnc sits right across the river from downtown and is one of those landmarks you see almost everywhere as you walk along the waterfront! 💐 Exploring airliegardens beneath some of the most beautiful oaks dripping in Spanish moss 🐟 Dinner at @seabirdnc, which was INCREDIBLE I especially loved that we got to do all of this in mid-September, when it was cold and rainy back home in NY. Everything here makes Wilmington a super easy East Coast getaway year round. You don’t have to leave the East Coast for a beach trip with this much adventure 🌊 Save this for your next East Coast getaway and share with someone you’d bring with you If your ideal beach trip involves actually doing things between mornings by the ocean, put @WrightsvilleNC on your radar! We spent a weekend here and packed in everything from kayaking through the salt marshes and yoga on the pier to sailing on the ocean, while still having plenty of time for good food, sunsets and relaxing by the water. 🏄 Where we stayed: @trailborn_surfandsound, right between the Atlantic Ocean and the sound. This is possibly the cutest, most whimsy little thing we’ve ever done in the Finger Lakes, so I just had to show you 🥰💐 Which pic is your fav and why is it the last one? Lolll 📍 @labarrfarms Just show up and Venmo $25 to pick your own flowers in the flower field. Or just hang out and enjoy them (we saw people set up with watercolors, which was such a good idea)! Flower fields like this provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies + other pollinators 🐝🦋 With many pollinator species losing the flowering plants and habitat they depend on, more flowers are definitely something we can get behind 💛 I posted a full Reel about how to spend a romantic weekend in this part of NY, so check that out if you’re heading this way! 📸 Pics taken on @canonusa R5 with 24-105mm. This is a Finger Lakes weekend itinerary you need to save 🍷 ↓ If you’re looking for an easy weekend getaway in Upstate New York, add Yates County in the Finger Lakes to your list. You’ll get lake views, wineries, waterfalls, kayaking, really good food and a private treehouse with a hot tub overlooking Seneca Lake 🏡 WHERE TO STAY: @flxtreehouses We stayed at Cowbird Canopy, a private treehouse tucked into the woods along Seneca Lake with a hot tub, firepit and lake access ⏰ TIME NEEDED: 2-3 full days 🗓️ WHEN TO GO: Late spring through fall. My favorite souvenir 🥹 I know travel will eventually become totally digital and automated but I’ll forever mourn the passport stamps we’ll never get to collect. There’s something really special about coming home with another country stamped in your passport. The faded ink, some random border agents handwriting, the stamps you can hardly read. I’ve brought home a lottt of souvenirs but passport stamps are always my favorite ones. Probably because my passport is the #1 book that changed my life Anyway, can we please keep passport stamps forever? 😭 by @_jkrow
