This Friday I’m joined by @kassiansound on @aajamusic radio.

Following the release of their debut album Channels, the boys have been busy running their @fauxpoly label alongside a string of releases on @k7records , with their forthcoming Gradients EP landing next month and a second album on the way in 2027.

They’ll be joining me for a guest mix and B2B.

We’re back in business with @k7records signing 2 more EPs and our second album ✍️😍

It’s pretty special (and rare) to sit down in person and sign something like this after everything we’ve done with K7 over the last few years. We’ve built a really good relationship with the label, and it means a lot to work with people who understand what we’re trying to do and give us the freedom to keep pushing it in different directions 🤝

From Supercontinent to Channels and now Gradients, it feels like a natural next step for Kassian, and we’re really excited about what’s coming…

For now, Gradients is out Oct 16th, with Blush leading the way. Thanks to everyone at K7 for believing in us ❤️

Today we release ‘Channels’, the title track from our debut album on @k7records 💚

This journey started four years ago during lockdown, we were stuck at home and decided to pass some ‘non-club’ ideas back and forth remotely. Over the years it’s slowly taken shape as we refined, stripped back, and rediscovered the warmth of our early sound, applying our new production techniques as we learned them.

As we were wrapping up, we were lucky enough to have two hugely talented musicians contribute to the project; our old friend Joe Armon-Jones of Ezra Collective, and Joe’s next door neighbour Timothy Kraemer, a former professional cellist who takes the lead on this track 🫶

Through layers of live instrumentation, hardware jams, field recordings, and improvisation, this record reflects the depth of our process up until now, serving as a way to round up our early sketches and ideas.

“This record is an earthy thing, its naturalistic track names evoking recognisable and cyclically familiar moments, Kassian have provided a map for the listener at the forefronts of their minds. Channels has a flow and a depth to it allowing listeners to return and use it to reorient themselves, bringing new meaning to each unfolding moment.“

The latest single ‘Channels’ is streaming on all platforms now, the full album arrives March 21st 🎶

We also have to acknowledge the timing of this single; tragically the founder of !K7 Records Horst Weidenmüller passed away just a few days ago.

Our condolences go out to his friends, family and colleagues at the label ♥️

Londoner @danversmccabe brings three new turbo-charged hardware jams to Scuffed Recordings on his ‘Living In The Sends’ EP.

On the ‘Living In The Sends’ EP, Danvers expands his explorations into hardware-focussed production, describing the release as ‘experiments crossing in between different genres’. Across the EP’s three tracks, Danvers darts between breakbeat, electro and UK techno influences, from the lurching opener ‘Cascade’ to the blistering breaks of ‘Sprites’, and finishing with vocal-led roller ‘Jus’ Fine’ 🦾

Out Now! 🗣️ Danvers - Distant Recalls EP

After a brief hiatus, the SlothBoogie Records crew are back with an exceptional label debut from @danversmccabe . You may know him as one half of UK duo ‘Kassian’ who have previously released on SB, but here he flies solo with 4 tracks of expertly produced electronic, acid washed breaks.

Whether it be the liquid tinged euphoria of ‘Angel Break’, the speaker wobbling brute that is ‘YOU&ME’, the saturated acid warmth of ‘Heat’ or the otherworldly journey of ‘Distant Recalls’, this EP is the mark of someone who is a master of their craft and poised to heavily influence the sound of clubs with his unmistakable style.

Rounding off the EP is LA native and underground House devotee @juliet__mendoza who re-shapes ‘YOU&ME’ into a thumping 4/4 workout, primed for the late hours when the strobes come out.
