A Fight for a New Life

During our morning patrol, we discovered this newborn giraffe struggling to stand. His mother stayed close, patiently checking on her little one, but after more than 10 hours, the calf was still unable to get on his feet.

We noticed weakness in his front legs and knew we needed professional help. We contacted the vet, and after assessment, the decision was made to rescue the calf and take him to the sanctuary for further care.

Sometimes conservation means stepping in when nature needs a helping hand. 🦒❤️

Every life matters. Every effort counts.

Special thanks to the rangers team Enonkishu and Naretoi who made it to rescue the calf and Rebekah Karim who helped to transfer to the sanctuary for check up.
