Sometimes the biggest fish of the tournament starts with a move that could just as easily go wrong.Captain Jonathan Henry aboard the 64’ Valentine made a big move during the Production vs. Custom Shootout, leaving an area southeast of the lighthouse and making a rough run north toward Guana Cay looking for better water and cleaner conditions. The gamble paid off with a 566.2-pound blue marlin, the heaviest fish of the tournament and a valuable 500-point addition to the Captain of the Year standings.Read more about the fight using the 🔗 in bio. by @_jon_henry

I’ve been waiting for this moment for so many years. Watching all your hard work, Jon, I always believed in my heart that one day you would hang a winning blue marlin.A huge thank you to Joe and Ellen for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to run a boat in such prestigious tournaments. That kind of support means everything.I feel so fortunate to actually be here and experience this with all of you—truly beyond thankful.This was a true dream team. Corey on the sonar, and Digger and AJ on the deck everyone put in the work, and it showed.This is the perfect example of never giving up. After three long days, in the final two hours of the tournament… this beautiful fish came up right behind us.
