Sometimes growth looks less like becoming someone new and more like taking an honest look at who you already are.

Learning from the past. Owning the mistakes. Appreciating the progress. Protecting my peace. And continuing to work on the parts of myself that still have room to grow.

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s evolution.

Still learning. Still building. Still becoming. 🖤 📸: @feefeetakesphotos & @adollar_adream taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @_jonantonofficial

As a former physique competitor in my twenties, it gets disheartening at times not being able to train how I once did, or look the way I once did in photos. I’m currently 34, 6’0” 176lbs (24 lbs of muscle lost in a year)… last fall I was diagnosed with DDD (degenerative disc disease) and sciatic nerve damage w/ a 8mm bulge in my L5-S1 spinal disc. It’s been difficult for me to keep up with training or even get out of bed most days. After a year of Physical therapy and opting to avoid extensive medical interjection, surgery etc (although still on the table) I’m feeling better than I’ve felt in so long and I’m able to lift and exercise or simply be able to bend and tie my fuckin shoes now lol this comeback and transformation is about to be legendary. I’m so thankful that God has blessed me. I’ve been depressed a very long time for my lack of full mobility, but it truly puts life in perspective. You have one body and you should use it! Get ya asses in the gym because my old crippled ass can 😜 #mentalhealth #physicalhealth #transformation #keeppushingforward taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @_jonantonofficial
