Pedal Steel of Unknown Legend off @treyahensley’s Cant’s Outrun the Blues. Had this one on repeat when the album released.

Huge fan of Trey’s voice and amazed by his guitar playing. Also very grateful for the time he got Kysa and I into his show at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley! That put me onto Taj Mahal as well which should’ve happened sooner!

I’ve had this Stapleton track on repeat recently. The pedal steel and the drums are so tasteful.

I should’ve known I’d marry you sooner when we won the grab-a-date baking contest and a I saw you had a cheez-it pinned on your door. Happy 3 years of being married, Kysa. You make my life better in every way and I’m most thankful for you❤️ by @_jonwall

Happy special birthday to my lovely lovely wife! I’m so proud of her. ❤️

These are her first day photos from each year of law school plus a graduation shot with Wesley. Can you tell which year she was pregnant?

When she was 27 she had our son, finished law school carrying him, wrote a paper to be published, and taught me how to forage for mushrooms. She can do hard things and she inspires me to be creative, have fun, be selfless, and pursue justice and goodness. Together, we really do have all we need. by @_jonwall

🦃 hunting images: I just remembered on Cinco de Mayo last year, I harvested my first turkey with my great aunt’s 1920 Ithaca. That bird was a double with Max. Joey got his first bird the next day. by @_jonwall

Kysa is incredible. She gave birth to a human and feeds him every 2-3 hours..

Let me please say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous with gifts and meals. It has made this far less challenging than it could have been. You all deserve a thank you for this upcoming Mother’s Day because you helped nurture us all. ❤️ by @_jonwall

Wesley Colson Walzer! Born on April 18th at 1:42 AM, weighing in at 7lbs 15oz. After 5 to 6 terrible days of early labor, our Wes baby popped out after 45 minutes of pushing. Pregnancy and labor was so hard, but we’re so thankful to be safe and physically healthy and surrounded by wonderful individuals. We are loving getting to know our little buddy. by @_jonwall

So many precious memories. You are dearly loved and achingly missed, mom. ❤️ May God bless and keep you. May He shine His face upon you and be gracious to you.

My mom by photos:
1: She loved me so well.
2: Incredibly welcoming and accepting to others - Kysa, friends, family, and strangers.
3: Loved by her family.
4: Comfortingly humorous.
5: Didn’t meet Dolly but got damn close.
6: Very “goofy” as she would say
7: Also goofy but lovely.
8: Liked parks.
9: Had some slightly twisted humor.
10: Qwerkyness by default.
11: Never shy towards strangers. Could make a friend in random places.
12: So supportive of my brother and I.
13: Knew her calling was to be a nurse.
14: Confident.
15: Beautiful. by @_jonwall

Simplicity! 🔑 This classic pedal steel intro is a perfect example of how you don’t need to get fancy to make good music!

After the @the_rainstation album release I’m trying to get back to learning some more pedal steel basics and hopefully posting some more!

I’m really proud of this song and the way we covered it. It’s a special song to me and it feels good to put out another possibility into the world of a way it can be played 👨‍🦳

@mattgguitarist did a great job recording and mixing and @baleyheyntsen mastered it very well. Thanks @tom.branstetter for the amazing art work!! ❤️ taken in Seattle, Washington by @_jonwall
