From working as a gardener to competing on some of the biggest stages in trail and ultra running. 🏃‍♂️⛰️

For Suunto athlete @_joshwade, becoming a full-time athlete didn’t happen overnight.

Years of hard work, training and gradually chipping away at the sport have taken Josh from working outdoors in the Lake District to lining up against some of the best trail runners in the world.

Trying another start line next week. @grandraidreunion, a race I have wanted to do for a little while. It’s meant to be technical, there’s no poles and there’s some good competition, sounds like a good day out. Hopefully some of my training comes to fruition on the day. I’m out here now on Reunion Island and I’m taking the taper very seriously. See you on the other side!

I started throwing up way too early in the race and couldn’t turn things around. I’m left hungrier than ever to try and give this race another good go, but for now I’m going to enjoy some time with my family. Thank you to everyone that cheered me on and supported me. See you soon!

Chamonix… the Josh Wade way! 🗻

We are 8 days out from the big day and it all comes down to the finest of margins when the start lines is in front of you. For Josh there is one formula that prevails. Simplicity, but in the highest form. Our BETA range is where science meets excellence and is our go to range in the ultra marathon and endurance space.

Swipe through to see the strategy @_joshwade trusts on race day, built through years of testing, training and learning what works for him.

Every checkpoint has a plan, but the key takeaway is simple: practise your fuelling as seriously as your running.
