SEASON 2, EPISODE 1 — WE’RE OFFICIALLY IN MEXICO! 😍🇲🇽🔥🌴

New season, new country, SAME VIBES! 🥂✨

Sunday Cooking Series has officially touched down in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter!

For our season premiere, I took my guests on a little trip to CHINA! 🇨🇳🥢 On the menu: Authentic Orange Chicken 🍊 paired with my Spicy Jalapeño Shrimp Fried Rice! 🍤🌶️ And babyyyy, the flavors were FLAVORING! 🔥

The food, the energy, the company, the atmosphere… EVERYTHING was exactly what I envisioned for our first episode in paradise!

One whole year without you, Mom. 💔🕊️ I still can’t believe I’m even writing those words. 365 days without hearing your voice, seeing your smile, or being able to pick up the phone and call you. It still doesn’t feel real.

A year ago today, I became a member of the world’s worst club. A club nobody ever wants to join and one you can never leave. Losing you has forever changed me, and I’m still learning how to navigate a world without you in it.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t love you, miss you, or wish I could have just one more moment with you. I hope you know how much you meant to me and how much of who I am today is because of you.

But one thing I promise is that I’ll never stop living, growing, chasing my dreams, and making you proud. I’ll carry your love, your strength, and everything you taught me into every chapter of my life. I know you’re still with me, just in a different way now.

🥂 ONE YEAR OF SUNDAY COOKING SERIES! 🥂

What started as a love for cooking, bringing people together, and creating a vibe has officially turned into one full year of Sunday Cooking Series. ❤️ I’m so grateful for every person who has pulled up, supported, shared a post, booked me, collaborated with me, picked up a camera, got behind the scenes, brought a friend, ate a plate, or simply believed in what I was creating. None of this happens without y’all.

Over the last year we’ve traveled through food — from Italian and New Orleans flavors to Caribbean-inspired dishes, comfort food, BBQ and everything in between. And for the 1-Year Anniversary, we had to GO BIG with a Texas BBQ Labor Day Edition 🔥: smoked beef brisket, grilled mojo chicken, smoked beef sausage, charred Mexican street corn, sweet & spicy baked beans, creamy Caesar pasta salad and jalapeño cheddar cornbread. 🤤

Huge shoutout to DJ Esco Bae @esco_bae & Vince for absolutely KILLING it on the turntables and helping make this celebration everything it was. 🎶🔥 The food, the music, the people, the energy… it was an AMAZING day.

Thank you for an incredible first year. Cheers to more food, more cultures, more tables filled with good people, more memories and MANY more episodes of Sunday Cooking Series. 🥂❤️🍽️

New chapter unlocked 🔑🌴🇲🇽

Still kind of surreal that I get to call this beautiful 😍 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo in Playa del Carmen my home away from home. 🥹 I’m beyond grateful, excited, and READY for this next chapter.

My journey officially begins next Friday! ✈️ I’ll still be back and forth traveling, but having my own little escape from those Chicago winters sounds pretty damn perfect. 😂❄️✌🏽

And THAT KITCHEN?! 👩🏽‍🍳🔥 Ohhhh, y’all already know Chef Nora is about to put it to WORK because Sunday Cooking Series: Playa Edition is officially happening! 🌴🇲🇽🍽️

And yes — I have THREE bedrooms, so if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to come visit me in Playa, HIT ME UP! 😂🌴✈️
