Standing on the Acropolis in Greece was a reminder of just how big the world is and how small our Pacific islands can look from the other side of it 🌎
.
That’s why we need to keep travelling.
Keep creating.
Keep competing.
Keep telling our stories.
Keep taking our flags into spaces they haven’t been.
Not just for Samoa, but for all our Pacific people 🌊

Our lifters @_justsarah.s and @joel_amosa are all done now. Very proud of them flying our banner across the world and praise God that they both came out injury free with smiles on their faces enjoying the experience.

GREECE 🇬🇷

If you had told me 10 years ago that I was going to be doing Olympic Weightlifting in Greece for the Worlds Masters Championship, I'd say "mate your dreaming" & here we are 2026 chasing GREATNESS 10 years later.

Set a goal at the beginning of the year to qualify for this comp. Hitting rock bottom earlier on in the year I bombed out in a championship comp missing out on qualifying & within a few months later with the support of my family, my coaches @kyle_potentia_physio @joel_amosa & team from @brownpride_nz I was able to get back on the horse and hit my qualifying total at NIC 🙌

With Gods perfect timing & the tools he handed me to work with we made it here, lifting on Greece soil representing NZ, 2/6 made lifts earning my first international total of 140 & placing 9th out of 15 other strong woman around the world 🙌

Every lift was a fight & every downfall was a reminder that my journey wasn't easy so get back up cause I'm here and we are going to PERFORM!! if we have to show the world that we can do the splits under 80kgs & moonwalk with 83kgs then so be it cause the show must go on🫡

To everyone that has followed me, supported me & loved on me, know that this momma athlete is very appreciative & super grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity 🙏
