My sweet daddy went to be with Jesus this afternoon. I’m so thankful for the many trips we took together. I am so thankful my sister brought him to see me this summer. My daddy would say “girl, just get out of bed and move your legs like I do” I am so thankful I was able to see him Sunday and him tell me “hi, Papinga” and give me “sugarlitos” He called me Papinga and i called him Papingo. Sugarlitos meant kisses. I know he was ready to see mama but I’m not ready to not have him in my life. I know I have been blessed to have him live til 99, but to me it wasn’t long enough. It has been a tough few weeks. Still in pain. Pain has increased so much that I feel completely worn down. I feel overwhelmed as well as my family. I have cried and cried and cried. Not just because of the pain but wondering when this season will end. But GOD!! But God keeps giving me little reminders that HE sees me!!

The sweetest little baby feet! His mama and a friend came to visit and pray over me but these little soft feet reminded me of life and new beginnings. My sweet Saylor who takes care of me and brings me sweet gifts and makes me smile. And calls me Marla (Mom and Karla put together) And thoughtful gifts from friends who remind me that I am loved and not alone. Thanks Sherrie! There have been so many calls and visits and dinners from others. Thank you Laura. It’s so easy to go down a dark hole and the enemy make you feel you are so alone but I know these are God’s gentle reminders: I AM here! I see you! Keep going!
So today I am choosing to hold onto my faith! To be grateful for the people God has placed around me especially those soft baby feet😂 And I will choose to believe that even when I can’t see what is ahead HE still sees me! And I am still HIS favorite 😉 by @_karla_johnson_

Everyone needs a Ms Kari in their life! But you can’t have mine!😉
