First time cross country skiing 🎿 I skied a couple of times in Switzerland with my family as a little tacker but never cross country. It’s been exciting learning how to ski up a mountain not just down. YouTube had some pointers but all the videos were for groomed trails not navigating a mtn in the woods with deep snow. I’m quite tired from it, it sure is great exercise. I can see why the highest recorded V02 max scores are cross country skiers. I’ve substituted my morning runs with this given the recent snow storm & have been practicing striding on the skis and the herringbone technique for uphill. Coming back was easier as I could follow my tracks.

It has been a fun and different way to experience the mountains, and as a Aussie I still get giddy over waking up to snow. Still terrified to drive in it though 😂 by @_kate_burt

After versus first attempts. Learning the false grip is savage. I laugh now but I really did cry. 🤣 but stoked to get this from deadhang. Dead hang being a good term for it because I feel like 1 million kilograms in the position. Next goal, weight this bad girl up and clean it up a little more, so I can then feel like 2 million kilograms. by @_kate_burt

I can’t play guitar, I’m just a poser atm, but I’m going to start learning (again). I fell in love with Spanish classical guitar when I was 21 and a lovely man I used to train gave me some lessons. He inspired the start of the journey. Sadly I’ve forgotten all of it, but never too late to try again. I’ve heard a few songs lately that I’d like to try and play and sing, just in basic finger picking style, so I felt inspired to try again. This was my favorite guitar in the shop. A beautiful black Gibson with stars on the inlay. I had to go back for a second looky loo today ⭐️ by @_kate_burt

A fun birthday yesterday 🎂 I made a goal 15 years ago that every birthday until the day I die I will run or ride, without exception or excuse.

Started the day with a 5km run, handstand session, gym session then off to the water and mountains with the family 💕 by @_kate_burt
