A re-introduction of myself!

It’s been a while. So I thought I would do an updated intro for y’all. ☺️

My name is Kathie, but I go by Kath ☺️
I am originally from California (Northern Cali) and moved to Alaska in July, 2022.
I walked into @anchoragetattoostudio with the hopes of getting an apprenticeship in October 2023- and even though Jenn said she wasn’t looking for an apprentice- to my surprise she offered it to me anyway and I’m so grateful cause now I get to meet amazing people and do my dream job, and have been tattooing for almost 3 years 🥹 (licensed for a little over 2 years)

I’m 32, and currently pregnant with my first baby! I met my husband in Boise, Idaho and never looked back. He is my very best friend, and I am a lucky human to have him by my side in this lifetime. I have a cat named goose, and a puppy named Blue! And if you’ve known me for a while- you know I had a pup named Rudy who passed away last year. She was my best friend, and I still talk about her a lot so if you hear me talking about Rudy, that was my soul dog. 🫶🏼

I have been an artist my whole life, but never really took it too serious until 2020 when I began selling my art after quitting my job as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. Yes- I’ve always handled humans and needles since I was 18 years old! 😂

Tattooing is incredible, and so are the people I have met along the way.
I don’t have a “specialty” per se, I try and do a bit of everything! I do love high detailed work, and lots of color though. Traditional style tattoos are what I wear on myself, I love bright and bold tattoos. I also love doing them!
People mostly come to me for fine lined detailed tattoos and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love hearing everyone’s ideas, and bringing them to life whether that be bold and bright, or dainty and feminine.

I am currently taking appointments until mid-end of December, and then I start my maternity leave to spend time with my baby once she is born. I will be back a few months into the new year to give you all some rad tattoos

Thank you so much for reading! Cheers! Can’t wait to tattoo you 🥹🫶🏼

A little break in tattoo content-
As you all know by now- I am pregnant! I’m due in January and would love to take maternity leave. Unfortunately the state of Alaska does not offer any type of help for expecting mothers or for maternity leave if you own your own business. So I am having to ask for help- which I am not good at by any means. 🙃 but it is so important to me to stay home with my baby girl for a couple months when she is first born. This is my first baby, so post partum is going to be an important time for me to recover and enjoy those first moments with her 🥹💗
With that being said @bymissjenn has graciously set up a go fund me for us, so that we can try and make this happen. We are also taking donations for baby stuff that can be dropped off at the shop- but we are really really needing the financial support to make the post partum transition happen 💗

Again- I hate asking for help, it’s never been easy for me and I only do it if I really need it. Any little bit helps, and I am so grateful to anyone who is able to help us out.

Thank you so much! The link to the go fund me is in my bio with my booking link. And I will also put it here:

Ps: winter is the best time to get tattooed, you don’t have to worry about the healing with the not swimming, or vacation, or the sunscreen! 😌🙂‍↔️

A little break in tattoo content to announce something super exciting 🥹🫶🏼 Alex and I are expecting our first baby! We are SO excited, and cannot wait for this chapter of our lives.

Thanks for everyone being so patient and understanding with my reschedules, and “not feeling well” days while tattooing you all! It’s been such a blessing to have such incredibly understanding clients during this time.

Second trimester is in full swing! Weee! ☺️
