Refined my heart
Restored my soul
Fixed my vision

This year was a world wind of blessings, deep losses and clarity. A year that mirrored things that were hidden, things that were present and things that were visible but invisible to the naked eye. This year, I confronted identity, purpose and community. In a way it was a year of unmasking. This year Jesus held me, comforted me and lead me; in deep waters, still waters and through waters where boundaries where undefined. This is the year I learned about capacity. The capacity I carry, the capacity of those in my community and the capacity of unfiltered spaces.Authenticity reintroduced the skin I’m in. To continue to show up unapologetic. So when I reflect on this year, I’m reminded that the valley is necessary to reach the mountain top. That the scenic route builds character, adds pages to your story, and gives you the opportunity to connect to others. More deeply and more whole.

To the people I’ve meet this year; thank you
To the people who have helped and held space for me to feel seen unfiltered; thank you
To the people that have spoken life and held comfort; thank you

And to my grandmother Patricia E. Artis, thank you for everything, thank you for the scared time, endless wisdom and comedic Joy. Your words and your heart will live on.
