This trip was nothing short of amazing and I am so blessed to have been apart of it. I am so thankful for the entire staff at Johnson & Johnson Vision Institute for welcoming us with open arms and providing us with such an amazing experience. Im also extremely thankful for Black Eyecare Perspective Pre-Optometry Club (BEPPOC) for providing me with this opportunity. It was truly inspiring to be surrounded by successful & passionate Doctors who are committed to advocating for us and to help us succeed. Also, a group of driven & like-minded peers. I’m grateful that I came out of my shell a little & didn’t allow myself to talk me out of this trip. I connected with so many amazing people that I didn’t even know but it really felt like family. I’m genuinely rooting for you all & I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for us! 🤍

Being a Biology Pre-medicine student has taught me many things. It taught me time management. It taught me patience. It taught me strength. Most of all it taught me resilience. It taught me that no matter how hard something is, to just take a deep breath & tackle it the best way I can. That no matter what it may look like in the moment, God will ALWAYS make a way for me. These past four years have easily been the most difficult years of my life. From leaving Kissimmee, missing out on big family moments, losing loved ones, pulling all-nighters in Coleman & crying many tears. However, I am blessed to say that I have made it through.

I am extremely proud to announce that I will be graduating Magna Cum Laude, from the illustrious Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, with a B.S. in Biology Pre-medicine.
