We brought home this little man 1 year ago today, I'm so glad we found him at the Pet Valu from the rescue @communityalleytrappers . He was meant to be a part of our family 🥰

When we lose a loved one, the world keeps going, but for a while, our world stops. It's hard to imagine everyone else living their lives around you when your world is falling apart. My world fell apart at 9:16am on December 6th when I got the call that my beautiful Aunt & Godmother had suddenly and shockingly left us. I felt my heart break in two, my brain trying to comprehend what I had just been told. It didn't make sense, and it was so hard to accept. It still doesn't, and I still don't. Life can be so beautiful, but it can also be so cruel & confusing.

How privileged was I to know you for my 33 years, but it wasn't enough. It wasn't your time, you still had so much life left to live. I'm so grateful for our trips, I'm so grateful you were at my wedding, and I'm so grateful you got to know Everett over the last 6 years.

Today the sweetest boy came home with us to his forever home and I'm actually obsessed 😍
So far he has the BEST personality, so sweet & loving, already starting to be playful, and settling in SO well! He's hanging out in the spare room for now until we can slowly introduce his new siblings. I can't wait until he's officially a part of the crew!
He came with the name Terry but we are trying to think of a better suiting name.

His back story is that he was a stray in the Renfrew area & was being fed by someone for a few months. This person's dog ended up attacking him and got his back legs, so he brought him to the vet to be euthanized. The vet said the injuries were all surface so they kept him and he went to the wonderful rescue @communityalleytrappers (thank you SO much for what you do!). Fast forward to me meeting him at Pet Valu Gloucester a couple days ago and I instantly fell in love!

Today is the first day of the rest of his life 🥰 He will never again know being hungry, scared, cold, hurt or alone ❤️
