Big highs and big lows, 2025! Not pictured: wildfires, an epic community, egg freezing, new passport stamps, a (benign) breast biopsy, time with family, hard work, caffeine, big lessons. by @_kaytfitzmorris

6+ year dream realized in the form of a perfect backyard art studio built by @matthewrosenquist - I still have some finishing touches to do inside but wanted to get her on the grid. The first photo was taken before I finished painting the exterior, but come on. 💛 by @_kaytfitzmorris

International Dog Day feels like as good a day as any to let folks know that sweet Moose died on April 21st of DCM, a heart condition that affects many Dobermans. He had a perfect and happy morning and then he was gone. A pretty good deal, honestly. The internet is funny but a lot of people in my life loved my dog, so I wanted to share the news here. Caring for Moose made me better in every single way. This worm was my shadow and my heart, and I’m so, so grateful that I got to spend 9 years being loved by such a gentle, strange boy. Eternal thanks to @marcuskoosmann for being a great dog dad even after our relationship ended. This stuff isn’t for the faint of heart. by @_kaytfitzmorris

This perfect thing turns 10 today. We have his approximate birthday because he was first adopted as a tiny puppy and then returned a year later. Lucky me! Thank you for making my life so much sweeter, Moose. by @_kaytfitzmorris
