I found Sabrina through IG. What a beautiful and thoughtful young lady I thought ; as she walked me through the booking process and secured my appointment.

For context I had recently left a terribly abusive marriage and had very little stability in my life.

I was also fired the day before my appointment and decided to go anyway since I had neglected my hair and it had become too much to handle.

I asked Sabrina in a separate message how much hair I needed for her to braid and she told me the inches required.

I snipped off the hair and arrived at my appointment.

Sabrina took the time to learn of my style and prepared her station for my service.

I silently wept in the chair as she began working on my hair.

Her hands are truly healing and I could feel the care that was going into my hair.
…….

Some time later (almost a year) I reconnected with Sabrina.
As I stated before I’d lost my job and again neglected my hair.

I reached out and asked after several unsuccessful attempts of my own if she knew of anyone who could help me with the removal of the braids.

I’d reached out to other people and could not get any help….

Sabrina said right away that she would help me.

I arrived at her house and she embraced me….

I felt the shame leave my body as we settled in and caught up with each other’s journeys.

A few hours later my hair had been freed from the braids. Washed trimmed and styled…

I cannot think of another person …..not even my best friend knew about the state of my hair…

I am eternally grateful and blessed to have crossed path with such a beautiful soul.

I am inspired by her resilience and strength and her nurturing spirit…

The non-judgmental discretion she showed are forever etched on my heart. by @_keepingitabean

I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in that building… but I’m was fully aware of what I needed to do when I walked out. by @_keepingitabean
