Heyyy ONYX University!! We did it! I am so blessed and excited to serve you guys as your Sophomore Class President! As this campaign season chapter closes, I can not go on without thanking all of you!

First, I want to thank God for giving me the strength, courage, and perseverance to vy for office. There were a lot of long nights, moments where I wasn’t confident, and times where I wasn’t sure that this was for me at all. But ultimately, God gave me what I needed to pull through and handed me the honor to serve as your next president.

Next, I gotta thank my campaign team for putting in all of their efforts and hard work alongside me. I know my groupchat probably drove yall crazy, but I appreciate each and every one of you for holding it down, lifting me up, and supporting me in any way, from the reposts to every last minute photoshoot and more. A special shoutout to Jordan, my campaign manager and literal right hand during the election process; God knew I needed you and you did not disappoint.

Another shoutout to Miss Krystian Sellers, the best RA on the planet (argue with a wall), my sister by choice, and ride or die during this season. Every question I had got answered, any clothes I needed got borrowed, any doubt I had in myself you blocked, and all of your wisdom never got unappreciated.

To my parents, even though they weren’t on campus, all the prayers sent, advice given, and last minute appearances (even on table day) kept me grounded and calmed me down. I love yall so much!

And last but certainly not least, thank you to each and every one of you. Thank you for trusting me with the position, believing in me during campaigns and for the upcoming year, and all of the love and support along the way. Shoutout to Kennedy Hall for appreciating my poster all week and anyone that let me borrow business pro!

I look forward to serving alongside the new team for Sophomore Class Office and making a genuine impact for our class and Hampton community. I can’t wait to serve all of you in the upcoming year, answering questions and bringing everyone’s vision for our class to life. Again, it is truly a blessing and I could not be more honored.
