On May 21st-24th, Kellon, Trevor and Ellis as well as Anelly from our Women’s Team, got to participate in the Black Student Athlete Summit that took place in Chicago, Illinois. Multiple of our players have gotten a chance to participate in this event over the last couple years! Take a look at what each of our three guys had to say about their experience at this past event…

Kellon: “It was a refreshing experience filled with powerful people and important connections and discussions. I also spoke on a panel about my experience as a Division 3 athlete and some of the adversities I experience.”

Trevor: “Attending the summit was an unbelievable opportunity. It gave me the chance to connect with leaders across various fields and gain valuable insights from meaningful discussions with both former and current student-athletes. It was a powerful reminder of the strength of community and the importance of representation and growth.”

Ellis: “I liked the summit a lot. They had a lot of good speakers and a lot of information that is specific to athletes. Information about how to use the skills you learn from your sport in whatever I do in the future. Also, I met some other athletes and could talk to them about their experiences” taken in Chicago, Illinois by @_kelsmith
