POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As I wrap up my junior year, it felt like the right time for a reintroduction, especially with so many new faces here. I’m grateful to now be connected with 800 of you.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Hi, I’m Keeley, the face behind KG Interior Design.
I’m an Interior Design major at Mississippi College with a strong interest in commercial design, particularly healthcare environments.

👩🏻‍💻 I’m currently seeking interior design job opportunities to gain hands-on, real-world experience. I’m eager to learn, contribute, and grow within professional design settings.

📍 Based in Hernando, MS (just south of Memphis, TN), I’m on track to graduate in December 2026 and plan to return to the Memphis area. I’m actively seeking opportunities in the Memphis metro and North Mississippi regions.

📞 If you’re an interior designer, part of a firm, or an industry professional, I’d love to connect. If you know of any opportunities or connections, I would truly appreciate an introduction.
📲 If not, sharing this post to help expand my reach means just as much.

Wrapped up my first week as a Project Engineer Intern at ICM Construction!

This week was full of new experiences and a lot of learning. I climbed an extension ladder for the first time and conquered my fear of heights… a little bit. I learned about the Yazoo clay here in Central Mississippi and about brick crackings in buildings.

I’ve also been able to connect so much of what I’ve learned in interior design school and previous internships to the construction side of a project…RFIs, finish plans, schedules, and all the details that bring a design from drawings to reality.

I’m definitely adjusting from corporate attire to boots and jeans, but I’ve been enjoying every minute of it. There’s something so exciting about getting out from behind the desk and seeing a project happen in real time.

One week down, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this experience has to teach me! taken in School of Dentistry at UMMC by @_kginteriordesign

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, so I thought I’d jump back in by sharing one of my latest achievements!

A while ago, I had the opportunity to interview with @influential_women_official, and I’m incredibly honored to share that I was selected to be featured in their upcoming 2026 magazine as one of the influential women in the Memphis Metro/North Mississippi Architecture & Design community.

As a college student, this opportunity means so much to me. It’s amazing to be recognized alongside so many accomplished professionals while I’m still pursuing my degree. Moments like this remind me that hard work, leadership, and passion can open doors at any stage of your journey.

A huge thank you to Influential Women & Mrs. Wendy, my interviewer, for this opportunity. by @_kginteriordesign

Thank you, Artopex, for this incredible opportunity!

During this past school year, I participated in a design competition where we were challenged to create a workplace design using only Artopex products. It was an amazing experience that allowed us to learn so much about the company and its product line.

My classmate and friend, Sara Magee, and I had the opportunity to travel to Quebec with two of our professors to tour the Artopex factory and showroom. Seeing how these products are designed and manufactured through advanced technology and the work of highly skilled professionals was truly inspiring.

We also had time to explore the beautiful streets of downtown Montreal and admire its incredible architecture and historic details.

A special thank you to Melessa Redditt and Mandy Berdami for planning this trip and opening this door for us. Thank you as well to Linda Caron and Kevin McDermott for your generosity and for making us feel so welcome in one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited.

This trip was an unforgettable experience, and I am returning to Mississippi feeling inspired, grateful, and excited to spec these products in future projects. 🇨🇦✈️🧳🌃 taken in Montreal, Canada by @_kginteriordesign

And just like that, junior year is complete!

This year we completed four major commercial projects, each one pushing my understanding of wayfinding, FF&E sourcing, & space planning. A huge thank you to our professor, Mrs. Berdami, for always encouraging us!

I’m excited to carry everything I’ve learned into my senior capstone next semester and really refine my skills as a designer.

To wrap up the semester, I’m really excited to share my healthcare project. After a lot of research on high-end design, healthcare materials, and wayfinding, I was able to design a primary care clinic that is both functional and elevated.
