We honestly need the help more than ever. No one prepares you for any of this. My dad body was found yesterday lifeless in his home. I’m still in shock in disbelief. My dad was a hard working and loving dad. He wasn’t the perfect dad but growing up he was there for us. Any donations are truly appreciated. Papa bear will always be remembered 🤍 that’s what all his grandchildren would all call him. She was too small to realize what was going on. I remember like it was yesterday from the day he passed away the feeling of being numb. 6 months have passed and sometimes it just feels so unreal. Change can sometimes feel scary. That was once me. Starting all over in a borough you’re not from was something out of my control. I was born and raised in Queens but years later in my early adulthood I moved to the South Bronx. It didn’t end there. After living in the Bronx for 4 years life took a major twist I went to PATH. Started from scratch left everything behind except some clothing. Deep inside felt like turning back but this was part of the growth process. Harlem will always have a special place in my heart it taught me so much. Life can humble you in blink of an eye and this was definitely one of them.
