There’s a story behind every face you pass on the street… but some stories are heavier than others.

Abdallah Chidudu is a sugarcane juice vendor based in Mombasa, Kenya.

He reiterates that patience is key when dealing with clients as some turn out to be so rude.
So today me and @_khalid_creative_visuals decided to document his struggles and hardships that he goes through the journey of his work .

Daud is a very hardworking man who attends to his work station solely to provide for his wife & her lovely daughter.

Despite the challenges he's facing, like far distance from work & few tools to work with, he believes in striving for himself & firmly believes that Allah rewards those who put in the effort.

I hope his story inspires us all to never give up & always put faith in Allah, no matter what!

A day in the life of @shikowamachuma .Spend a day with a woman who refuses to let her circumstances define her. From working out to selling pineapples on the streets of Thika town and swimming without limbs, every moment was a reminder that life is about courage, resilience and making the most of every day.Determination knows no limits.

One of my go to shots when I’m filming handheld is low angle shot!

It’s a great way to show a different perspective Contact

Meet Evans Akongo, a Jua Kali fabricator who came to the city chasing his dream of becoming a welder. Starting out, mastering the basics of welding was not easy. But through 2Jiajiri Programme, Evans gained advanced fabrication skills that equipped him to take his craft to the next level. His enterprise has gone ahead to create employment opportunities for other fabricators giving them the opportunity to grow their skills.

Today, he’s putting those skills to work, building quality fabrications and growing his hustle one project at a time. From learning a skill to earning a livelihood, this is what empowerment looks like.

I learned that I don’t have to become less sensitive to become stronger. Rather, I have to become stronger while remaining sensitive.

When that is paired with self awareness & boundaries, then it becomes empathy, creativity, intuition & compassion.

In the quiet moments of solitude, turn to Allah.

Seek for His Mercy for the sins only He knows & ask for His Guidance.

The Art of Observing

These are scenes where I cinematically documented the fisherman preparing his net then captured his surroundings.

Every step forward, no matter how small it is, is always building something greater.

Take credit for your progress.
