POSTS STORIES REELS

They dub the third Monday in January as 'Blue Monday'. 'They', whoever 'They' are, aren't being too helpful. Are They now!!!

We're sold this belief that January is the month of motivation, goals and new beginnings. Then the negative bandwagon rolls into town, with their negative concocted date, based on some algorithm they've come up with.

Well, I'm here to say, quash that negative narrative and instead focus on the small wins. We have small wins daily, we all do!

Coaching will help you get clarity and perspective, and lets celebrate together your achievements to date, and work at determining what goals you want to achieve in the future. If this sounds helpful drop me a line.

By the way, new beginnings or new routines can happen any day of the week, or any month of the year for that matter.
Just remember, you determine when you're ready and don't feel pressurised by the hubbub of January!

I'm back! @_kindheartfiercemind is alive and kicking.

In some respects I had never truly left but I was just on pause for a while. My absence is in part due to me being busy forging a career as a Progression Coach, behind the scenes, and that has been both challenging and rewarding in equal measures.

However, since 2021 I have also been on a bit of a journey 'metaphorically speaking'. 2021 was a year of low emotions and a crisis of confidence, but 2022 was the work I had to do on myself, to truly build myself up again from what I was dealing with at the time.
Coaching is my passion, but it is null and void if I have too much weighted in your own life, to inspire and support my clients.

Therefore, 2023 is my year for growth and implementing everything I have learnt these last few years. This relates to relationships, my coaching and how I spend my time in general.

I genuinely love the nicer aspects of the Instagram Community and I am looking ahead and planning on injecting my passion again, and engaging in all things coachy orientated and self development focused.

So together, let's make 2023 the best year for connectivity and growth!

On a personal level here are my objectives looking ahead.

💫More Coaching but connecting from a deeper place of curiosity and passion
💫More mindful time with those I love and respect. This is with both family and friends, but my friends are in essence also my family, but my family of choice!
💫More movement
💫More content
💫More reading
💫More writing
💫More exploration
💫but LESS CLUTTER 🤭

A shout out to these lovely ladies I met today.

I love the juxtaposition of starting with a skip, a big unsightly vessel used for disposing unwanted waste. Then transforming it into something far more positive, brighter, bolder, and visibly inviting.

Fandango Skip was set up to break down some of the taboos associated with mental health. The original project toured the UK offering mental support to communities as we began to come out of a global pandemic. The pandemic was a huge challenge to each and everyone of us as individuals; we've had to navigate loss and grief in one capacity or another - some of us more so than others. This project seeks to squash the stigmas attached around grief and mental health.
Founded by artist Annie Nicholson, and bourne from her own personal tragedy, she has created something so positive, unifying and inspirational 💜

I spent a delightful hour or so making a collage focusing on some things I'm grateful for, and in addition I had the pleasure of chatting to some great people whilst sitting around the skip cutting and sticking my piece of artwork. Wonderful moment of escapism, calm and mindfulness. Thank you for allowing me to share the creative love with you all today 😊

On a personal note, I've been on a bit of a hiatus with my coaching of late, however todays encounter invigorated my desire to get back out there and reach out to more people and do what I love best - connecting, empowering and encouraging people to live more fulfilling and happier lives.

THE POWER OF HUGGING

Today we could officially hug those closest to us in the UK.
I've written a piece about why hugging is so important for our connectivity with others, and how science has also proven the benefits it offers for both overall health and happiness .
To quote the words of an esteemed therapist on the subject: 'We need four hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth'.

You can find my blog here:

Mental Health Awareness Week draws to a close today. However, that's not to say we end the discussion here and pick up again this time next year.
The over riding message is the importance of seeking help when you need it.
Talking is one of the best therapies there is, it gives us perspective and the realisation that even if we might feel alone - we aren't.

Every single one of us benefits from some kind of help of one type or another, to get us where we'd like to be.
It might sometimes seem like hard work, and daunting at first, but coaching is just one of the ways you can access support in getting you where you want to be.

I see coaching like the five points on a ⭐, and like the five Cs to success, because it gives you:

⭐ clarity ➡️ helps with finding clearer perspectives
⭐ continuity ➡️ helps with motivation and staying on track
⭐ confidence ➡️ the more you find you own voice, the better your self belief becomes
⭐ collaboration ➡️ when you realise you are not alone, and you and your coach are a team working towards your success
⭐ can-do ➡️ coaching gives you an inner strength and the realisation you are capable of anything

Please do get in touch if you want to discuss anything in this post further.

Sending you love and positivity 💜

It's been a while since I last posted but I've been really busy building a new website, and technology isn't my forte 🙈

However, I had to acknowledge Mental Heath Awareness Week, this week.

These days the phrase ‘It’s Okay Not To Be Okay’, is a popular tagline used in association with conversations regarding mental health.
Around this time every year it’s Mental Health Awareness Week. This year’s will draw to an end on Sunday, 16th May.
Thankfully our open conversation about mental health is not solely meant for just one specific time of the year, it is now a topic for discussion which is becoming more and more at forefront of our consciousness, every day of the year! If nothing at all, Covid and Lockdown has created a greater awareness regarding mental health awareness, and for this, I for one am very grateful for!

In recognition of this week, I've written a post about my own experiences with mental health. You can find the piece here:
https://kindheartfiercemind.com/2021/05/14/its-okay-not-to-be-okay/

Do get in touch if you'd like to discuss your mental health or anything else in the article which resonates with you.

Words carry so much power. In coaching it's like alchemy.

At times I felt locked in so much emotion growing up, writing in many ways was a salvation for me, and especially poetry. I loved words, and poetry felt like the best way I could find to extract how I felt deep inside of me.

I formally wrote entirely as a personal and private cathartic process. However, recently I resumed my passion in lockdown.

Tonight for the first time, I shared a recent piece live on air at BBC Essex Radio.

Poetry has always felt like the release of my own internal voice. Coaching in many ways is a similar process. If we find the right words, it gives us enormous insights and that will take us where we need to be mentally, emotionally and practically.

Here is a direct link to my poem, and an interview where I discuss both it, and Transformational Life Coaching. Thank you BBC Essex Radio and Rob Jelly for inviting me along tonight 🥰

My interview and poem reading is 2.41hours into the show.

Did you know the 'popular press' and Social Media almost revel in dubbing today 'Blue Monday'.
My choice of quote on this occasion is a bit tongue in cheek, and I'm acknowledging this downer people feel regarding Mondays in general!

Hopefully the bulk of your working day is now over anyway. So how did your Monday go? I genuinely hope you're all doing okay and you didn't feel blue, but then, it wouldn't necessarily be Monday that is making you feel lower than normal - there are so many variables to navigate around at the moment.

The thing is, we are so governed by this awareness of time, I often think, this in part is what puts extra pressure upon us. We live our lives dictated by days and weeks and months. It internally creates our own expectations and pressure.

I personally have stopped living like this, and it has elevated me to this inner peace, which up until recently I've struggled with a big proportion of my life.

So what I'm saying is, please don't be influenced by Social Media in general. It's insulting to us all that we are to believe today is the saddest day of the year. This notion rears its ugly head every year and it really frustrates me - more so now, than ever before.

Any day is what you make of it, so Monday need not be constantly marred with this stigma.
My mantra for 2021 is 'make each day count'! I'm not into resolutions but whatever the day is, I now make it matter, irrespective of how I choose to spend it.

I'd love to know what you think? Do like, share, comment or DM me if anything I have said resonates with you and you'd like to discuss some themes here further. 🤗

A year like no other, but here is my top 9 Instagram Grid of 2020
@_kindheartfiercemind. We're still in our infancy, having only launched in October this year, so our selection of highlights is modest, however, I want to say a big thank you for all the likes, follows and comments and support this year!
💜💜💜

My personal takeaways this year have to be an overriding sense of gratitude.
I feel so much gratitude for just the little things in life. Plus I've learnt:
⭐ I really cherish those I love and who love me back, even more than ever before. I recognise their unfailing Unconditional Positive Regard for me, from Before, as of Now and no doubt in the Future
⭐ l've always tried my best, shown up at my best and I now know only those that truly love me see that, feel that and appreciate that
⭐ To stay connected with everyone that matters - strengthening those strong bonds and feeling more luckier than ever before
⭐ Finding my calling and purpose in life - Coaching is something I love so much and seeing clients flourish is a privilege, plus volunteering this year has added even more enrichment in my life
⭐ I'm blessed to have shared the most surreal of times with my best friend - my incredible son ❤
⭐ I've had the opportunity to stop and realise even in the most difficult of times it is still possible to find clarity, peace within, positivity and hope for the future.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and better year ahead in 2021. Stay connected and always talk about your fears, apprehensions and anxieties - it really does put so much into perspective!

I'm here to support, listen and help you take whatever steps you need to get you where you want to be in the future. Sending you lots of love and positivity

Today is the shortest day of the year but in the cosmos there is a significant shift taking place.

Today heralds the start of something called 'the grand conjunction'; the time when the two largest planets in the solar system - Jupiter and Saturn – align in the air sign of Aquarius, for the first time in 200 years (previously they have been aligned in earth signs). This is known as 'The Age of Aquarius'

This supposedly marks the awakening in our consciousness and should herald a shift in our spiritual insights as individuals. I'd like to believe this is so, as 2020 has opened our eyes to many things and given us huge insights about ourselves and those around us.

On a very basic level, by practising gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives.... Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. All of which, we need to believe more than ever before!

Gratitude is a deep heart felt emotion, that won't be tempered by the negativity that comes from the negative talk in our own minds. My only hope is this is a dawning of greater empathy of others, and a great time for universal healing.

The beginning of embracing gratitude is to start opening up, talking and reconnecting with ourselves.

If this is something I can help you with, do drop me a DM 📩 Otherwise, if this post interests you, please do like, share or comment.

George Bailey the protagonist in the film is a true Empath - caring and selfless, he loses sight of his hopes and dreams in favour of the welfare of others.

Life gets hard for George and he finds himself feeling lost, helpless and hopeless and wanting to end his life.
He is befriended by an angel called Clarence who comes down and teaches him that he shouldn't undervalue himself. George comes to realise his existence has had an enormous influence on the lives of many others.
He comes to realise he has a Wonderful Life, and everything to live for!
This is a story about purpose and about never taking our own personal greatness for granted. We are all unique, wonderful and significant in our own individual way.

If we dare to step out of patterns of reoccurring repetitive behaviour; only then can see where this might take us.

We can apply this mindset to absolutely any aspect of our lives, from:
▶️Relationships
▶️Work Life
▶️Family Life
▶️Managing our emotions
▶️Managing our time
The list is exorbitant.

Coaching aids us by shifting our mindset and enabling us to see our own existence via an alternative paradigm.
It gives us the strength to abandon what has not gone so well and identitfy what might serve us better.

If you feel unsettled in anyway, rather than hold on to old habits, let go of your resistance and explore alternative approaches through coaching.
Do get in touch and DM me if you want to explore how coaching can aid you in finding your best self 📩
