Produced a film festival with my friend! ❤️🤗A dear friend and inspiration of mine has long since dreamed of building a film festival… her dedication to her dreams and to others and to community knows no bounds. I have never felt more strongly about what you are capable of in this life @teaunnagray ; and what we are capable of building when we support one another. Last week I marked my calendar with another first… my first poetry reading!! A big thank you to Dom for curating a space for language arts, community, expression and vulnerability! Happy 1YR to her event, Sometimes I Think Too Much - SITTM🎈 Mad grateful to the other artists who shared space w/ me and everyone who shared kind words and reflections. You do not know how much it means to me. xxI read 4 poems in total. The first was A Journey by Nikki Giovanni, who just recently passed - RIP. I discovered ‘A Journey’ only recently and have been wrapped in its embrace ever since. I then read 3 of my own poems and am able to share a video in this post of one, called Fleeting. BUSY BUSY 🐝✨ I dont realize how much is going on in my life until i take a moment to sum it all up and reflect on it all!!
