Escape society and join me.
I’m a queer artist that lives in the countryside.
I’ve also been vegan for years, my love for nature quietly shapes much of what I create.

I started L’hermite in 2020 with the intention of creating a space where the exploration of the self and the connection to our surroundings would feel personal.
I express my vision and translate human experiences through dark and poetic visuals.

In the crooked house of L’hermite, six souls dwell, each shaped by how they hold solitude, mystery, and expression.

• Graphite •

Slowly getting back to this.
My old love, graphite on paper.
Simple yet super versatile, it’s how I’ve always been able to communicate my ideas. Way before ipads I was filling up sketchbooks and margins of school papers with all sorts of shapes, mostly organic and human details.
Art is where I feel comfortable, time stops and it’s just me and my pencils. Design is a whole other world where visions have to be applied to 3 dimensions, balancing both is what feels right for me at the moment, something meditative and personal with the exciting storytelling of fashion. by @_l.hermite

• Cemetery •

The air is crisp, the veil is thinning.
Bursts of colour light the branches.

Cemeteries are special as they envelop you with a soft presence, one that sees you yet leaves you alone.
Spending time in there by myself to draw whatever comes to mind and loosen the grip of perfectionism.
What makes a gravestone interesting to me is the attention that it received, continuously or a long time ago. Its aging, its design, its unique stoicism that forever honours. by @_l.hermite

• Decor •

An essential part of October is seasonal decor.
Inside the house, Halloween has already settled since September 1st. Candles are lit, spooky blankets are draped over the couch and there’s pumpkins all over. It’s only now that the magic expands outside. Real Jack-O-Lanterns will join my vintage Blow Mold collection in the coming weeks.

• October’s Eve •

Getting ready to fully jump in the best month of the year. Horror movies every nights. Freshly baked cookies in ridiculous quantities. Orange lights everywhere & pumpkin everything🎃

October and Halloween has been an obsession of mine for as long as I can remember. My mom shared her passion for the weird, the bold and the camp of the season with us growing up. I’ve developed a liking for horror early on and it never went away.

There’s something so nostalgic about the warm glow of string lights. The nightly ritual of sittings comfortably in the couch to witness horrendous scenes is somehow one of the best way to spend my evening.

Every fall there’s a bunch of movies that simply must be rewatched, what are yours? by @_l.hermite

• Market day •

Everytime I plan to film at a market I end up not having much content because y’all keep me busy. Suuuuper grateful for the chats I had with you all. Seeing you come alive in front of my weird little world is so precious🥰

There’s a lot that happens before and after a market, the event itself is quite something for an hermit.😅 thanks @marche.du.crepuscule for the perfect planning every time, you make it easy for us to showcase our work.

I feel very grateful to be able to share this journey with you all and I left the event with a full heart. Some of y’all made me emotional with your words, I am not kidding the makeup is what kept me from balling out. It feels surreal to see some of you come back again and again, collecting parts of my story and making it your own.

It always hits a specific spot when someone instantly gets my vision, understands my language and simply feels at home with L’hermite. I am pouring so much of myself in what I do and your words of appreciation makes me feel seen. Thank you so much for that.
