Way back in the days at the Park Jams… I remember the girls would be on the other side of the park jumping rope #jumpingrope and they was extra nice at Double Dutch. It was either jumping rope or they was doing cheers and battling other female crews. #backintheday by @_l_brooklyn

These are my OG’s and I was lucky to be the youngest cat from Brooklyn cut from their cloth and old enough in 1988 to finally be able to be at the spots with them even if they only meant carrying the crates and equipment and occasionally dancing with the older females until they let me touch that set. starting from left on the top DJ Frankie D from Marcy, Tony G from Marcy, Brucie D who I wanna say was from Tompkins, and Master D 🕊️ aka DJ Lance from RV aka Roosevelt 💯 and on the bottom from left my uncle Scooby aka Dilligard (Fort Greene PJs x Tompkins PJs) who put me on, and Elias aka “E” from Marcy also Tony G’s cousin, and Steve D 🕊️ of the choice MC’s… let me tell you something the year was 1988 and the first joint they let me come with them was at the masonic temple on clearmount in Brooklyn and Steve D was on the mic rocking the crowd while my uncle Scooby was on the set and at one point my uncle looked at me and said this ain’t even half way how we be doing it.. man listen I was born in 1974 and was at park jams since way back but this was when I was old enough to be at the spots which is way different than just coming outside… this was that you really outside until the sun come up and at spots 💯 this photo was taken at the screening of the documentary founding fathers @hassannyc @ronlawrence by @_l_brooklyn

Hmmmm, I swear I only been to Nostrand houses and sheepshead bay houses twice in my life…. been slid passed them forever but never no reason to really go there except twice when cats was DJing out there back in the days and I kept buggin because they wasn’t playing hiphop just house music. We was quick to say them cats ain’t coney island 😂 oh they from Nostrand and Sheepshead….. by @_l_brooklyn

the right song because this was that era… me (young me) westinghouse era and my OG 💯 Scooby that put me on…. and those vintage redtop b36 vega! bottoms and this was in manhattan for a show / party with @chubblive @specialedmusic and i remember @queenlatifah was in the house and @behindthesmokex lil shawn was there and did a freestyle over impeach the president with ED… I know because I still have the tape and when Chubb took a moment to acknowledge the death of yusef hawkins and had everyone say peace over @officialbigdaddykane warm it up kane beat and one love to @akshun.love who broke his crossfader during warm up and had to jet to get a new one and 🕊️ to howie tee and just to add extra memory banks to this belinda and them was dancing for ED… yeah I was there….. #brooklyn 💯 early by @_l_brooklyn

#iykyk you gotta pitch this record way down slow!! but in #brooklyn that was trouble… now in this picture is the OGs my cloth Puerto Rican Tony G from Marcy & Brucie D and as Brucie D would say the Vega! F what you heard this the cloth I was cut from #brooklyn that’s puerto rican TONY G from MARCY ask @darealsaucemoney 💯 and next to @tonygeigel is the late great Carisma Funk!! man listen one name I always heard was Carisma and it spoken with the highest level of respect…. all I know is my uncle DILLIGARD aka SCOOBY came up under three legends 1) family uncle Shelby Morgan the II from Marcy 2) Frankie D from Marcy and #iykyk Scoob was regarded as the son of Frankie D and 3) Carisma 💯—— I remember when Carisma passed away and my uncle went to the wake and he walked in and looked at the casket and then walked out and asked if this was the wake for Carisma and they said yes…. all I will say is #iykyk 🕊️ by @_l_brooklyn
