One year ago today, you came into our lives, and I am so grateful that God gave me the amazing assignment of being your mother ❤️
I am so honoured to be called your mum.

I remember so clearly the day you were born. I was scared. I was shivering, nervous about everything that was about to happen. And your dad kept reassuring me, “Everything will be fine. In a few hours, you’ll be carrying your beautiful baby.” And here we are, one whole year later🥹🥰

Trust me, it hasn’t been easy. Motherhood has stretched me in ways I never imagined. It has been one year of learning, relearning and unlearning. One year of patience, strength, growth, laughter, tears, and discovering a version of myself I didn’t even know existed. I remember those first few weeks with you so clearly. I was taking care of a newborn while trying to recover myself, and honestly, my body and mind were going through so much. But God surrounded us with the right people. I will always be grateful for your dad, our families, our friends, and everyone who supported us through that season❤️💗

Then you started crawling and suddenly it was, “Ahhh! My baby is crawling!” 😂
Then came the teeth, then the standing, then those tiny first steps and now we’re shouting, “Leave that place! Come here! Don’t touch that!” 😂😂

How did we get here so quickly?
Watching you grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

I am so blessed to call you mine.
So blessed to call you my son.
So blessed that God chose me to be your mother.

My prayer for you, my son, is that you will continue to grow in God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding. May you become everything God has called you to be. May you always be surrounded by grace and favour.

You are blessed, Cyrus. Nations will call you blessed. Your light will shine brightly for the world to see. ✨

I cannot wait to watch you grow. I cannot wait to watch you start school, make friends, discover your gifts, pursue your dreams and accomplish the many great things I know are ahead of you.

I want to see it all.

Your first steps.
Your first day of school.
Your first big achievement.
Your dreams becoming reality.
The man you will eventually become.

On this day last month, our lives changed forever @iamolowo_ when 2 became 3❤️💗💕
We’re really blessed for how God helped us throughout the pregnancy and how this journey of being parents is going with the grace of God.

So here’s my own part of the LOVE STORY with this wonderful man @iamolowo_ ❤️💕

As many of you may know, we met in church but back then I never thought he was going to notice someone like me. Little did I know that my story was going to be like David when God told Samuel, “for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord sees the heart “. This man actually noticed me and God answered my prayer that my first boyfriend will be my only boyfriend and eventually become my husband🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
This journey hasn’t been entirely smooth but God has always been the captain of this ship and I’m glad that we’re here now as Husband and Wife💗
Thank you Ayomide for being my best friend and partner in every way possible.
I promise to always love you like it’s the very beginning.
It’s you and I and God forever and ever ❤️

So I finally married that "Gentle Oyinbo Sister in the Choir" Waooooooo 😊

Harmony in every sense. Our love song began in the choir, where I found my melody in you. Iyo Mi, your calm and gentle soul brings balance to my life, and your brilliance inspires me to be a better person. We weathered the storm together, and you showed me that true love isn't just a feeling, but a choice. A choice to stand by each other, to support each other, and to love each other unconditionally. Forever grateful to have you as my partner in every sense. I love you more with each passing day.

By the way, this love story won't be complete if I don't thank some cast and crew 😁 In no particular order: Thank GOD who's the director and producer of this story. I decided to give love a chance 5 years ago and I’m glad to say, it was the best decision 💯. So I saw this handsome man @iamolowo_ in church and I was completely blown away by this beautiful work of God❤️💕. Everyone was serious in church but no, Deborah was looking at fine boy 🤣. I even told one of his friends that he was entering my eyes and his friend was like, “Debby, are you okay?”. He was shocked cos everyone knows that Deborah is very shy and quiet and till now, I don’t know where I got that boldness from. As God would have it, he saw me during a night vigil and the rest is history🥰😂. These 5 years have been the very best and I’m grateful for how far God has brought us. Looking forward to celebrating more milestones with you bro 😜😍
